Chaps who blame Jesus when a bad thing comes your way, which he ignores, please don't blame him. My belief is that a man named Jesus walked along a narrow, dusty spit of land inhabited by Semites and Roman soldiers and administrators. Across what would be, today, a short life, he preached and posed as a healer, one of many. No small part of his instructions, in regard to morals etc., were drawn from wiser men in centuries past. But, nonetheless, he was a good man, he meant well, and some say he sided with the liberal Jews of the day, who wanted the oppressive Romans out. What he was not, was 'devine,' a god, or the son of a god. Romans torturned him and nailed him to what had long been standard in Roman executions, a 'cross.' He was a Jew; he was born a Jew; his mother was a Jew; he preached as a Jew; he died as a Jew. Do you really think it's fair to blame the fellow for terrible things happening to you today? The man's been dead for 2000 years.
