My mom moved the litter box because it stunk the room then my cat pooped on the floor so I just moved it back. But I don't know if she'll still use the litter box or poop on the floor?

We've had for almost 2 in a half years and shes been litter box trained this whole time.

But now I'm afraid she'll poop on the floor again instead of the litter box - How can I retrain my cat to use the same litter box again just in case?

Its in the same place and it hasnt been altered or anything!

Put the box in the most convenient location for you to tolerate. Pick the cat up and take her to where the litter box is and sit her down in it. She may run off, but do that every once in a while and I feel sure she will get used to it's new location. You might get some catnip and sprinkle a little over the fresh litter to attract her back to it.

She probably pooped on the floor because she didn't know where her litter was!

If you need to move her litter, move it a little each day, so kitty can always find it. After a while, you will have moved it to where you want it to be, and everything should be fine. It's unlikely that kitty will poop in the wrong place again so long as she knows where her litter is.

You're confusing your cat. You're not supposed to move your litter box around. Once it is placed in a certain location, it must stay there. If you move the litter box back to its original location, then your cat shouldn't poop on the floor again.

If it was just moved completely out of the room then you have just confused your cat! If you want to move a litter tray do slowly over a few days so the cat can follow where it's going to end up.

Your litter box should not smell....clean it out daily and that won't be a problem. As for your cat knowing where it is once it has been moved just pick her up and place her in it. She will remember.

i think of what you may desire to do is get a stool pattern and a urine pattern from this cat to rule out kidney sickness or another element happening in his bowels Now i'm able to get my cats to bypass pee interior the clutter field just about on command. Get a small lid off a jam jar and characteristic it sparkling and reachable close to the clutter field. once you notice the older cat heading in direction of the field get waiting, wait till finally he has all started peeing and slide the lid below him, attempting to no longer touch his lower back legs. Then once you have a pattern, in case you have a sparkling prescription bottle, pour the urine in there and placed it interior the refrigerator in case you won't be in a position to get it to the vet appropriate a manner, the comparable is going for the stool i'm afraid, maybe in case you triple plastic zip lock the stool pattern you ought to maintain it on ice in an previous cooler. while you're taking the pattern on Monday it is going to bypass to the Vets via Tuesday. whilst cats start to pe or poop exterior their packing containers and not something has replaced at domicile, it could mean the cat is sick. or maybe he has had a small stroke and now and lower back forgets the place the field is. try leaving slightly poop in his field see if he can scent it he will bypass there. wish i develop into some help, stable luck, and bear in mind cats and canine do no longer might desire to be whining or meowing or growling to be sick.

Your cat should be able to find the litter box. Every time I move my cat's litter box, she always finds it and uses it when she needs to. As long as its kept clean .
