I am talking *only* about the "follow us home" argument. I know there are issues about giving terrorists a safe haven to organize in Iraq, but that is a different and separate agrument.

Will it be easier for a terrorist to sneak into the USA *after* our troops come home than it will be *before* our troops come home? Do terrorists not know where the USA is, and will have to "follow us home" to find out?

What is this magic bullet of having troops in Iraq that prevents terrorists from coming to the USA? I just don't get that reasoning.

And you can't just say it hasn't happened so it must be working. First, it's not for lack of trying - there have been at least a few failed attempts. Second, we don't know what the terrorists timetables are - remember it was 7 years between the first and second WTC attacks, and we've only been in Iraq for a little over 4 years. Third, the old adage still holds true: Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence.

i liked this guy, and he knew about it, but he would always try not to be around me. Like if I stood near him he would go somewhere else, or if i was walking by, he would try to avoid walking near me. if he doesn't like me, i could understand why he ignores me, but why would he take it this far?

I took my 8 week old kitten to the vet yesterday and the vet said there are no fleas on her (she looked around her fur). But she still applied some medication just in case (she applied Frontline Spray which I now found out by calling the vet back but I spoke to the reception). So last night at about 3 AM I wake up with a flea on my face and a couple in the bed. Also the kitten kept scratching a lot which I first thought had to do with the medication but then we thought it was because of fleas. So we washed all the sheets on our bed and her bed and vacummed EVERYWHERE and then I figured I should give her a bath, which I did with kitty shampoo. The doc hadn't told me about not giving her a bath after the treatment and i didnt know what the treatment was. Now I am looking up Frontline Spray and it says not to bathe after 24 hours. What should I do? We only found 2 fleas on her and 3 in the bed but I am worried. She is not scratching anymore. But does frontline need to be reapplied

Google Earth now has the capability to display satellite images of people/faces and license plates for a given location on Earth.

Presumably, facial recognition technology can be used to identify people whose faces can be seen in the images. However, how long before a scan is possible to determine if a particular individual at a given location is, in fact, a person that is wanted by authorities? It may sound crazy, but if you said 15 years ago that you'd be able to punch in an address on your computer and get a satellite image of your house and yard, with the detail to be able to see a person in the yard, people would have thought you crazy....

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thank God the Catholic church is here to provide a shining example of compassion for our fellow man. For you that are angry about this issue I suggest you direct your efforts towards supporting legislation that would provide a legal way to allow guest workers to enter our country legally and thus be provided basic workers rights.Too many of us profit from the illegal workforce, greed is clearly evident when one saves money by hireing illegals, it is simply not Christian to be hostile towards what is predominantly Mexican illegal workers. I am a citizen and a conservative republican and fully support our presidents proposed legislation in regards to this issue, a good compassionate man.

My boyfriend is going for an interview with a land investment company but, after working for a company previously that didn't seem legit, I am dubious!

I was wondering if there was a land investment regualtor - like there is the fsa for stock broking and stuff, to see if companies are registered, is there somewhere where I can do a check on this company?

I am sorry if I sound silly but I am completely thick on the subject!!

The company is called Commercial Land and the website is www.commercialland.biz - I just don't want him to end up in a dodgy company again where they might waste his time and mess him around!!
