For example: Why did Paul condemn homosexuality?
When did Paul talk about forgiving those who have hurt you?
What parables of Jesus did Paul quote?
What did Paul say about being born again?
Did Paul ever tell anyone what Jesus said about the penalty for holding a grudge?
According to Jesus, what is the penalty for holding a grudge against anyone in this life?
Did Paul quote any of Jesus' teachings about how to conduct our lives?
What did Jesus say about how some people are born with a unique disposition about "sex"? Did Jesus condemn those who are unigue in that matter?
Did Paul condemn those who Jesus never condemned?
Are we to learn from Jesus' teachings, or should we simply worship Jesus?
Did Jesus tell us to worship him? Did Jesus tell us to worship God, or did emphasize that we should love God?

Dear "sparkles" - "Paul said, Paul said." Sure Paul claimed he represented Jesus, but by his very lack of quoting Jesus' messages, did he prove he was ignoring Jesus messages of how to conduct our lives?

I've contended for some time that Paul never grasped the essence of Christ's ministry since he never actually heard Him preach. I truly wonder if Jesus really appointed Paul to be His spokesperson after the Resurrection, since we really only have Paul's word for it. I don't doubt Paul's sincerity, but it certainly seems like he led the entire Christian movement down a different path than Jesus intended.

Paul was writing under the inspiration of the holy spirit. If you believe in the whole trinity idea, then he was just picking up where Jesus left off. Also about the condemning homosexuality, the entire bible depicts it as an unhealthy thing. It is just not how God meant it to be.

Hi--I would not begin to tell you that Paul's credentials, has been examined by the apostles--his conversation with Jesus about the direction of the Church was accepted by the apostles--thus the church embodies the direction of Doctrine.
I'm sure the Faith you have could be bolstered by reading and heeding Paul's teaching. Paul did as God told him to walk--he was successful because he stuck to the doctrine of the apostles and the church. Doctrine is different in many churches but most will agree--The Law was fulfilled in Jesus
and a new direction was required.

First off, Paul said himself that he was a servant of the Lord, called to be an apostle and separated by the word. Paul wrote the letters but Jesus was the author.

Paul, a disciple of Jesus, who started as a persecuter of Christians - but was transformed into a believer in Jesus on the road to Damascus taught people to obey God and Jesus, who was God. Jesus came to bring the word to all mankind. It was God himself who sent his angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of the sins of the people in these cities. It was said that Abraham, the patriarch of the people who talked with God, asked God to spare the righteous people in these cities if any were there and the angels there could not find one righteous man in these two cities. Therefore God destroyed them by fire. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, the people called him Immanuel, which means "God with us" because his birth was proclaimed by wise men. Yes. Anyone who is wise in experience is to learn from the teachings of Jesus and later those of his disciples, including Paul about the things God wants mankind to do, including to worship God (the father, the son (the word) and the Holy Spirit). This includes sick parents as well as those who are not sick. Jesus said we should forgive others if we wish to be forgiven. However he also said for people to preach the gospel to every creature and to tell the truth, to be born again by water baptism and repentance from sin. The unique disposition toward sex that Jesus and Paul both referred to was the ability to abstain from sex. -- Paul stated "to abide even as I" but for those to whom it was not given, Paul said "it is better to marry than to burn".* Marriage was defined as a God ordained union between Adam and Eve.( But not Adam and Steve.)+

I'm so glad you're asking questions because quite often it is when we question that God answers. You would probably be better asking Him directly. God bless.
