i liked this guy, and he knew about it, but he would always try not to be around me. Like if I stood near him he would go somewhere else, or if i was walking by, he would try to avoid walking near me. if he doesn't like me, i could understand why he ignores me, but why would he take it this far?

ok maybe just maybe he likes you too and he feels shy around you i think you should be straight up with this guy and tell him how you fell about his reaction around. hope that helps.

Surprisingly, I agree with themyth. You may like him, but he is probably not attracted to you and wants other girls looking his way. Or he is in another relationship. If you are around him, then other girls won't take a second glance at him because they would think you two are going out. So he wants to show everybody that you two are not together and he is available. Just talk to him in private if you want to spend time with him, but remember...he isn't interested in you, so don't expect anything other than a friendship right now.
To answer your main question, the reason I would not to be around a girl would be because she has low self esteem and doesn't see herself the way I see her. And I see all girls as beautiful.

One reason might be that he is not interested in you and is avoiding from you. Second reason can be, that he is already involved in any other relation. You don't think too much about him, ignore him for few days, as he is doing. Then see the difference.

dont know but well boys sometimes are weird they usually do that or if they talk to yuo they try to flirt in front of you so you can see that he is not interested in you and for you to leave him alone
