Like California, Arizona, Texas.. We were having a debate in class and this person brought it up. She said "These states are ours and America took them from us". Besides, why does that even matter? This land belongs to the US now, can't people get over that and stop using that as an excuse as to why they're over here illegally?

If someone was an albino would a doctor diagnose them? Would it be obvious that they had albinism and not just really pale skin?

I was hit by a woman and am recieving a small settlement. Hospital put a lien against her insurance company for FULL BALANCE ONLY and when I called to see if they would negotiate a lower amount they laughed and said, No way. They dont lower the bill for a liability accident and want the full balance paid. I figure that is horrid business ethics when Point A. Someone goes into a hospital with insurace and pays and the insurace company NEVER pays full balance ONLY A PERCENTAGE! and Point B. Someone goes into the hospital without any insurance and they ALWAYS NEGOTIATE A LOWER BILL FOR THEM> So WITH or WITHOUT insurace they will lower the bill, but because they want their greedy little hands on ALL THE money they file a lien and wont lower the bill!! ANY HELP OUT THERE ON HOW TO NEGOTIATE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED!!!

Fidgety - a woman in her 40's went to the plastic surgeon for a face-lift. The surgeon told her about a new procedure called "The knob", where a small knob is placed on the back of a woman's head and can be turned to tighten up her skin to produce the effect of a brand new face-lift. Of course, Fidgety wanted 'The Knob'.
Over the years, Fidgety tightened the knob and the effects were wonderful - she remained young-looking and vibrant.
After fifteen years, Fidgety returned to the surgeon with two problems.
"All these years everything has been working just fine. I've had to turn the knob many times and I've always loved the results, but now I've developed two annoying problems; first, I have these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them.
The doctor looked at Fidgety closely and said, "Those aren't bags; those are your breasts."
She said, "Well, I guess there's no point in asking about the goatee." :)

Im interested in learning more about eastern religions and the symbol of "aum". And I know Aum somewhat represents the Hindu relgion and I want to check to see if what I think is part of the religion is correct. ?? Karma, No harm to others, Moksha (release from cycle of birth and rebirth), enlightment to achieve Moksha, and if you live a live of no good deeds and harming others, etc. then you can be reincarnated into a worse life?

I think the reason why Christianity is the most dominant religion in the world has to do with Technology.
Most advanced countries at that time were Christian (England, Spain, France...) They had the technology. They had ships and planes to go around the world and spread Christianity. They had the money to fund those missionaries. They had printers to print Bibles, and teachers to teach how to read the Bible. Had those advanced countries embraced Buddhism instead, Buddhism would have become the major religion in the world today. Don't you agree?
