when it began,i was in favor of it but as time goes by now iam not so sure.when i read the obits of young guys who died each day,and see how the iraq goverment dumps ever thing in our lap,it takes me back to another time in american wars.i think no matter what we do we will not wins the hearts of the iraq people they have been fighting each other since the beginning of time, and they will continue to the end of time.the man who is your friend in the daytime,is the same man who will kill you at night, are we stopping aggression before its on american soil?,maybe so but our country is under manned because we are spread out protecting everyone elses country.lets say we "win" what have we gained, then itll be iran to contined with ,then another and another.you cant walk away from a war,you would seen as weak, its sad to say but in my opinion i thank iraq war will continue many years,i think also ,before this decade is over we will see nuclear war, because isreal will not sat idle and let iran get the first strike, the only way this war will end,is when we kick the crap outa the whole middle east, but we dont have the man power or the friends to help us,when the desert is turned to glass then we will "win"

There are a lot of people that are for and against the war in Iraq and both sides seem to have legitamate reasons for thie views. I honestly believe that one day there will be peace in the region and with the support of all Allies, then the region and the rest of the world will be safer. The people who send out people with roadside bombs both in Iraq and afghanistan, they are just not seeing clearly or being misled. Granted, the war cannot go on forever and there has to be a withdrawl sometime whether it is sooner than later is yet to be determined. But there has to be some resolution so that there can be peace in the area and the world.

I wish this war would end. I never really felt its impact until my boyfriend, whom I love dearly, told me he is going to enlist in the Army in 2008, after he graduates high school. I'm proud of him for his courage and will to defend his country. Yet I'm scared for his life. I'm really hoping this war will end before June 2008, so when my boyfriend enlists, he won't be deployed to Iraq. I have always hated this war and always will.

This war has caused our nation to lose respect from many nations. Bush should just move to Iraq so he can truly learn what is happening. Our soldiers go to Iraq with sound mind and body, and they come home with post-truamatic stress disorder and other serious mental/physical injuries. I don't think it's fair to keep the war going like this. If we can't end the war, Bush has an obligation to provide our men and women wth more protective weapons and armor. I wish I could bring our troops home forever and end this war for good, because all they want is just to go home.

I feel the war in Iraq demonstrates our constant strugle against terrorism. I also feel its a tool used to uselessly wack Bush. I am in favor of our troops staying there as long as it takes to create peace and have the people of Iraq safe from insurgent threat. Examples of U.S. troops in places like South Korea are peaceful places for that reason. The people in Iraq deserve freedom from the threat of IED's every time they walk the streets. This is NOT Bush's fault in ANY way. How would you feel if you were in Iraq living in harms way evry single day. I'm sure you woudnt be begging for the troops leave anymore. As for the reason we went in, Living under a monster such as Saddam is reason enough for liberation. Much less the fact that he gassed thousands of his own people. Thats my opinion.
