Have you all noticed a decline in the way marriage is viewed among the American population? Is it just me, or do people not take marriage as the sacred union it is, as people once did? My grandfather was once asked by my mother, "How do you handle Grandma?" And he simply replied, "Because I made her a promise." I'll never forget that! What happened to that dedication? Why do you feel the way you feel?? Thanks!

who feels a deep longing for the Spirit (God, the divine), yet struggles with religion in general and Christianity in particular?

While I've attended Lutheran and Episcopal Churches over the past six years, I find myself, despite many heartfelt prayers, having a hard time believing many parts of The Bible.

I think I'm like many Americans, especiallly those living in religiously diverse areas: we find it impossible to live life without a spiritual outlet, yet find it equally impossible to fully surrender to a religion that claims so many things that are hard to believe.

I've rambled. I mean no disrespect. Just seeking ideas. Peace.

In a mental institution a nurse walks into a room and sees a patient acting like he's driving a car.
The nurse asks him, "Charlie, what are you doing?"
Charlie replies, "Driving to Chicago!"
The nurse wishes him a good trip and leaves the room.
The next day the nurse enters Charlie's room just as he stops driving his imaginary car and asks, "Well, Charlie, how are you doing?"
Charlie says, "I just got into Chicago."
"Great," replies the nurse.
The nurse leaves Charlie's room and goes across the hall into Bob's room, and finds Bob sitting on his bed furiously mas*ur*ating.
Shocked, she asks, "Bob, what are you doing?"

Intelligent design is perfectly valid from a philosophical view point. Its not science, its not what I believe but its a good argument.

Even better is the argument that "god uses evolution."

So why is all this Young Earth Creationist stuff popping up? Not only does it deny science, it denies comon sense. Why are some christians afraid to give up a 100% literal bible. Is the fear that other christians will interpret it differently that strong?

for those who have had a breast reduction then later on went on to have babies.. my question is, do your breasts react/change in the same way un operated breasts do?

like the achy-ness/soreness, change in colour of nipple area etc?

I think the best tear jurker of all times for the movie titanic would be when Rose dies at 101 years old and her 101 year old spirit goes back to the titanic ship and reunites with the young jack and as she walks up the staircase he reaches out his hand and takes her old hand and still loves her and accepts her after all these years but the movie people never made an alternate ending with that so I have the clip but i don't know how to mess around with the scend and take out the young Rose and insert her old self in the "reunion" scene to make what i want to happen, happen. is there any way to even do this first of all? it seems like you could but you had to me extremely good at this stuff to be able to do it but maybe you cant. can anybody tell me how to do this please? I am pretty good at computers but havent worked with this stuff much. thanks. --Lara
