My cat recently had surgery and I'm supposed to keep him from jumping up on things so he doesn't reopen his wound. Do you have any ideas?

I have a 5 year old. For her happiness as well as mine, I hire a sitter when attending events that I don't deem to be child-friendly. I also don't frequent adult places when hanging out with her. It's unfair to her to expect a child of this age to sit through a lecture on modern art or sit for hours at a coffee house.

I moved to a new town and parents here seem to not to understand this. I go for date night at a nice sushi place and parents are screaming as their kids refuse to pipe down. I go to a coffee house with work and next to the college students are women with screaming infants and toddlers. I went to the grocery store this morning. A child of about four started throwing a terrible temper tantrum and the mother started swearing at him in the middle of the store. My daughter was in the cart and I simply did not know how to respond to this. What is the right way to deal with these rude parents? I've joked that I should just stop wasting money on sitters, but...

Ok, here goes..... My husband has two daughters from a previous marriage. They are 7 and 4. His Ex is a catholic and his 7 year old has been babtized catholic when she was a baby. My husband is not a religous person but his EX-WIfe is.
He is fine with his ex taking his daughters to catholic church. The problem is that his ex now has a mormon boyfriend who is living with her. She is now going to Mormon church and taking the kids. My husband has talked with her stating that he does not approve of his kids being taught the mormon religion. She basically told him too bad and she is going to take them anyway. So he has no say in his daughters religous upbringing? We are very upset by all this and don't know what to do? We get the kids every other weekend and the ex also made a comment that it is a shame that they don't get to read scriptures at our house.
any advice would be appreciated.

I'm something of a mess. I'm 71, but more of a nuisance is that I tote around a battery of "disabilities." I'll spare you to the details. Still and all, some mornings I forget all that and start out the day as if I were 18 again. My acting career began at 17, upon the New York stage, and I'm still a working professional actor. Sometimes there are unhappy consquences, yeah, but sometimes, too, I actually feel young, or younger. Full of energy and verve and nerve and ideas! Ah, it's swell. How about you?

My husband ( 5 year marriage ) and I were at a family dance Sunday. He left early to go fishing so I stayed. I dance with his brother and somthing was starting to happen. He said he wanted to talk to me alone and had feeling for me. (He is in a 14 year marriage with kids). So I told him he just had one too many beers and I would forget about everything. He asked if he could take me home and I told him no. The next day we went to another party. They were there and he said he did not regret what he told me. I told him it was wrong and for him just to think about his brother, wife, and kids. He said he has and me telling him just makes me a better perspn and makes him want me more. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. I refuse to tell my husband. My husband loves him and has the most respect for him out of all of his family. But now, the thing is what happened. Why am I so worried about his brother, and been thinking about him. The attention was nice and to know someone else cares...........

When I was confirmed as an Anglican a few years back, I remember being told before the ceremont that the Bishop, who lays his hands on your head as part of the ceremony, could trace back the same thing to the apostles. Ie, he received the holy spirit from someone who received the holy spirit from.... etc ... Saint Peter. Is this true?

Do Catholics/Orthodox/other churches have a similar belief? Is there a competition to find the 'true' hand-layees as their is for the descendants of Muhammed?
