im 16 and so is she, and we always text and i think she likes me and i kinda like her,.

Ah mate, I've been through pretty much the same problem. Their was a girl I quite liked through college but my friends were the rich shallow types (there not anymore). But yeah long story short, I didnt go out with a girl that I'd liked for a long time (she liked me too). So yeah I regretted it for quite a while. So just do what you got to and don't be swayed by others.

Why are you embarrassed about someone you like just because your friends doesn't think she's the prettiest in your school? You should follow your heart and ask her out. Your going out with her, not your friends! And it doesn't matter how she looks, you like her for who she is, not how she looks!

Then who cares what your friends say? Problem solved,my friend! You like each other,so if you asked,she would probably say yes! take a chance! Dont worry about your friends....friends come and go! who cares if they think she's not the "prettiest"! they must be really shallow people!

Why should you care? Just ignore your friends, and besides, who says that she needs to be the prettiest? Are you the most handsome (and shallow) boy out there or something? Are your friends?
Just go for her! And ignore what they say - if they're really your friends, they won't keep pressuring you not to stay with her. Besides, it's not their business or their problem unless she's a druggie or something, and'll screw you up too.

Your friends aren't going out with her if it comes to that! They aren't friends if they can't support you anyway what's it got to do with them? It's your life not theirs, you go for it sweetheart it's got nothing to do with anyone else it's between you and your lady friend, send her a text invite her out or round to your house and see what happens, just remember you are only 16 you have your whole life in front of you to get serious about someone, just have some fun be mates and see where it goes don't get too involved too quickly and don't get too heavy....good luck honey : )

looks ain't everything..obv there gotta be some kind of physical attraction.....but just because your friends she isn't the prettiest in the school shouldn't be a reason for you not to ask her out..at the end of the day whoc ares wat they think? they'll probably be jealous and its you that will be with her not them.I say go for it..your mates will get used to the fact that you like her...don't be influenced by your friends if you really like her...don't be one of them lads that won't give a girl a chance because she isn't as you say 'prettiest' cos thats just very shallow.

Well she doesn't have to be the prettiest, She just has to be pretty in your eyes. Yah your concerned of what your friends think but if they are you TRUE friends they will like her and learn to accept her for that.

Simple, forget your friends and go for it!
If you like her then don't listen to your friends, listen to your heart and tell her how you feel, you seem like your fighting your feelings for this girl and that isn't a good thing to do as they will just come out in the end!

Well, do you like her enough that you'd bypass your friend's "view" of her; or not enough to stick with your friend's opinion on her?
If you like her enough you won't care what your friends think of her, and you won't care if she's not the prettiest andwill get to know her personality.
If you don't like her that much, then i guess you shouldn't go out with her and just be friends!

Who cares what your friends think? They aren't planning on dating her, but you would like to. Live your life for YOU, not by the opinions of others. You'll never be happy if you allow yourself to miss out on things because "your friends" weren't interested in that.
