Hell was created for the devil and his angels and since man sinned they also go there. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Hell is no a pleasant place. It is a place of torment for all that have reject what the Lord Jesus did on the cross. He died for our sins, He was buried and took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. Believe and trust in that and you will miss hell. Luke 16: 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, Mark 9: 48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The short answer? No. Hell is very UNpleasant.
However, IMO, the descriptions of Hell as a place of fire/sulfur/etc. are metaphors. The Bible directly states that Hell is "separation from God". The problem with this statement is that it doesn't have much of a punch. Because humans can't directly understand God, they can't be expected to understand what life would be like without Him. The Bible uses sensory language, metaphors, similes (such as burning of flesh and drinking molten lead) to relate the suffering involved in a separation from God.
An example of this is Jonathan Edwards' essay "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God". If he had said "Hell is like not having God around", there probably wouldn't be much of an effect. But throw in terms like "wrath", "flames", and "agony", and you send the United States into a frenzy of piety.

There are many references to hell in the bible, and it is clear it is NOT a pleasent place. In Mark it says it is a place where the "worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched" --if a worm cannot die there ( and how easy it is for a worm to die! Look at how the sun kills one so fast, when you see them dried up on the ground after the rain) so if a worm does not die there, how much more will those who rejected the salvation of Jesus, not die there!
The bible also says that it is a place of "weeping and gnashing of teeth"
It is misery- and to think of being separated from God, that is misery in itself!

Does this description sound pleasant to you?
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
