Can I take lagal action against my part time employer for making me empty my pockets and letting them look for a missing ipod?? I have a part time job as a valet; there was an ipod that was stolen. My employer has no idea who took it but picked 5 guys and I out of the 30 other valets to search us. They told us you six are all friends so we need to search you. The rest of the valets they just checked in order of there last name. .I just feel that the way that they picked us out of the groups was not right, and also no where when I got hired did it state that they could search me and there are not signs stating this either….what do you think?

My son decided to join and goes off to boot camp 9/14/07. He says after he graduates "A" school he can attend college at home and just do his weekends that they require. My concern is will he be sent to war? I'm not familiar with the military and with all these young men and women losing their lives, it seems to me that they send them out there right after they finish "A" school. Any knowledge on this to ease my mind.

I understand that people go through A LOT of things...as a woman, I know that our hearts are oceans of secrets and suppresed emotions, but come on already...killing your children???? What the hell?? How about letting them be adopted and provide joy to a loving family.

Although the woman in this article also killed herself, what about the countless others who lived and were proven "innocent by reason of insanity?" Anyone who commits a crime ~ especially murder or rape ~ has a few screws loose ... i.e. insane. But if you shoot someone (besides in self-defense), you're going to jail (in most cases). Why are these women (no, they don't even deserve to be called 'women') ... why are these ignorant heffas killing their children and not being punished?? It's time out for this. It really needs to stop!! Share your thoughts.

Mass of the black hole is M = 10^12 kg.
Such black hole has radius about the size of a proton,
and it behaves as Newtonian point mass at inter-atomic,
and larger distances.

The black hole resides inside vacuumized ping-pong ball of
radius R = 2cm at distance D = 1 cm from the center of the ball.
A bucketful of water is hold around the ball by the pull of gravity of the black hole, and asumed its equilibrium shape.

What is the force of buoyancy excerted by water on the ball?

on Page 2 of W-4, " Deductions and Adjustments Worksheet", questions number 4, it asks me to Enter an estimate of your 2007 adjustments to income, including alimony, deductible IRA contributions, and student loan interest. For me, I have 401k, medical insurance, and FSA that's deductible. So what number should I enter for this line? Add up all the deductible, or my salary minus the deductible (or AGI)? Thanks.

why aren't these debates slam dunks for the green side? No rational person can read these discussions and claim that they are. Why do they have such a tough time of it? Does that reflect on their poor debating skills, on the fact that it's NOT as settled as they say, or both?

This is a true story, I have some questions for you about it. I have a work colleague, a lovely lady aged 43. 13 years ago she married a man who after 3 years turned very violent. Aged 33 she managed to escape and divorce him. However, her parents turned on her - the mother said to her 'violence is part of marriage and a woman has to put up with it' and that 'men are made in the image of God and women are just a rib of Adam so men can beat them up if they want' - her father said that 'divorced people will burn in hell for betraying Jesus's will' and that 'they didn't want to associate with someone who will burn in hell in case they also go to hell for associating with that person'. So her parents haven't spoken to her for nearly 10 years. She wasn't brought up in any religion (strangely enough there wasn't even a bible in the house) - parents were brought up as Irish Catholics. My question - are they right, or are they nutters?

I am located in Michigan and have a pretty large perennial garden full of hybrid daylilies, coneflowers, coreopsis, hosta, etc. In any case, I have a front walk. Our soil is very sandy and we often have problems getting grass to take but perennials seem to do fine. I am looks for some flowering plants under a foot tall that would work well in those beds. Color is unimportant.

My cat is three going on four years old. Over the winter he was a healthy plump cat. In the last three months he has dropped weight. Nothing in his diet has been changed. I can put both my hands around his lower body and touch fingers. He seems healthy. He's always running around being playful. He shows no signs of being sick. He also was the runt of his litter. He's smaller than a normal sized house cat. He's been declawed and nuetered over two years ago. Any suggestions or personal experiences would be appreciatied. I'm contimplating on going to vet.
