Hi my laptop does not come wih a built in DVD/CD Drive. I want to install vista fresh install, but I cannot boot as my laptop does not support USB booting, I have an external USB DVD Drive, and tried many boot images and USB drivers. None of them work. Also my laptop does not support Floppy booting, basically no optical media, but I CAN boot from SD card.

Are there any files I can add into the SD card that will let me boot the Vista DVD i.e. any USB Drivers that will let me load the DVD Drive and the DVD in DOS, Command Propmt etc etc? And the commands to load the DVD?

I tried everything such as R:/setup.exe but it comes up as this is not supported in DOS.

I have a Dish network DVR 625 which I want to connect to my Windows Media Center. I have a TV in the living room connected to TV channel 3-4 out port on the receiver and this works properly. To watch TV on my pc elsewhere, I ran a coaxial cable from the channel 21-69 port at the back of the 625 receiver to the TV-in port on my PC tuner card, using an attenuator between the cable and the TV-in port on the TV as directed in the receiver user guide. I then ran both automatic and manual scans on Windows Media Center but have been unable to get TV signals. What am i doing wrong? Please HELP !

I've heard people say "the bible tells us", but the bible doesn't have a mouth. It doesn't have vocal cords. It CAN'T talk.

People read scripture and come up with different interpretations all the time. This is fact. Words are not numbers. They convey different meanings to different people.

The bible has been translated many times. Where on Earth can you go and find a definitive authority to ask, "what EXACTLY does this passage mean?" and receive a straight, incontrovertible answer? Someone, somewhere will always disagree.

The US Constitution is a thousand times clearer than the bible, and we still need a massive legal institution to interpret the laws. What authority tells average human beings what the scriptures mean? (and please spare me the "voice of god" tells us. I'm looking for a real, logical answer.)

The rear AC quit blowing air to upper vent and only blows heat to floor vent. The AC works normally in the front of the van. We have accessed the blower but need instruction on what may have malfunctioned to cause the ac blower to stop working.

If I eat three meals a day and drink only water and rarely diet sodas
breakfast - special k cereal or egg whites etc
lunch - subway, vetebables, fruits, etc
dinner - chicken breasts, or veggies and maybe once a week eat something that isnt all that healthy but not too bad like a big mac(like steak or pork chops) and walk every day for 30 minutes and swim for 30-60 minutes can i lose weight? well i know i can but how long will it take to lose 10 pounds? I weight 113 pounds if that helps. please dont say you dont need to i just want to shed off a few pounds.

or should i walk more? please tell me what i should do.

Okay so I was told since it was a busy time for passports that it would take 8 to 10 weeks for beginners. Well it's been 11 weeks now and I still have no passport.
If there was something wrong with the app or photo they would call right?
How long as it ever took anyone to get a passport back?
Is their a website where you can locate the passport or find out when it will get here?

I don't actually need it till September but I'm still curious because I thought I would have mine and my husband's by now.
