If you were a store owner and you wanted to hide a tape recorder somewhere near your front desk....Where would you hide it and why?

What purpose would hiding a 60 minute tape recorder give you?

not sure where it would be because I don't know the layout of the shop.. BUT, the issue is.. Why..

For any legal reason the person being recorded would have to know that there was a good chance they WERE being recorded.. (unless our current government was behind it since that's legal for them now) For reasons other than that?.. *shrug*.. I don't know..

Gives you evidence against someone who stole something, and if there is some sort of dispute the police can look at the tape and get the right guy.
It really doesnt matter where you hide because even a sign that says your on camera will prevent people from stealing.
