Okay so I was told since it was a busy time for passports that it would take 8 to 10 weeks for beginners. Well it's been 11 weeks now and I still have no passport.
If there was something wrong with the app or photo they would call right?
How long as it ever took anyone to get a passport back?
Is their a website where you can locate the passport or find out when it will get here?

I don't actually need it till September but I'm still curious because I thought I would have mine and my husband's by now.

My husband and I have a good background. At least I'm pretty damn sure of it because we have never done anything wrong, my husband got arrest once but that was 5 years ago and we booked and released.

I am sure you did the right thing to apply for your
passport very early because it takes a lot longer during the traveling season & don't forget about
the Homeland security new rules for background
check ,and how busy the office where you applied from ?I don't know ! it shouldn't take more than two weeks by mail and that's how I got mine.
Don't worry you'll receive it soon.
Good luck

Well, this probably won't help much, but I've been waiting for my passport about the same time. This is a busy time to get a passport because it is the beginning of summer and people are planning on traveling soon. If you want to check the status of your passport, try going back to the place you got it and ask them about it. If there was something wrong with the photo they would probably tell you immediately when you gave it to them.

Here's the website to check your passport application online.

It took me about 3 months to get mine renewed in the past. This time around, I paid the extra $$$ to get it expedited and received my new passport in 4-5 weeks.

Good luck.

Maybe there is something in your back ground check that's holding the process up,if that's the case I wouldn't pack my bags quite yet, because you may need to get your money back from the air-line tickets to pay for a good Lawyer to get you out of this mess.

It took a litte longer to get ours than we expected too. We used this site https://passportstatus.state.gov/opss/OPSS_Status_i.asp and it provided valid information. Good luck and enjoy your travels!!
