If you were born deaf then it would be a malfunction in child birth but the cause of deafness in later years would be from a very loud clanging noise or wearing earphones such as walkmans will impair hearing.

If you were born with some hearing probs, it could be a variety of complaints. Some children are born deaf because their mum was exposed to measles during pregnancy. But some causes are more complex.

I am also profoundly deaf since birth. We think it was due to complications during birth. Other factors could be my having German measles / possibly lacking in amino acids the list is ongoing, I dont know. No other in my family have this nor my kids either.

It is good to keep on finding out what is new and asking different doctors hope you can get some answers and also that you have a hearing aid that can help you.

A lot of wax in your ears.
See the nurse at your surgery and she will give you loosening up fluid to be used for 1 week.
Then go back to her and she will syringe it out,and believe me you wont believe how much wax you,ve got in your ears.
