just the afternoon dose, because i can't stay up that late to give her the last dose at 12am.

I'm sure it would be fine, but you can always call the pharmacist and ask.

I wouldn't mix the two together. If he has already had a dose I think what the doctor meant is that you can switch off every couple of hours between motrin and tylenol. I put a cold rag on my 10 month old head the other day he was going through the same thing. I just sat and held him and he fell asleep. You'll be o k.

Thats what I do sometimes and hospitals tries o stay on exact times for medicine but my kids has had their meds 2 hours early and 4 hours late at a hospital and have been just fine.

I think it is best to do what the doctor said and wait 8 hours to give the baby her medicine.
