If all the Republican and Democrat politicians are so gung-ho in their "support the troops" rhetoric, why has not one member of Congress objected or even commented on the Bush administration's cut of more than SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS from the Veterans' Administration annual budget?
If military operations in Iraq are NOT about oil, then why did Donald Rumsfeld continually deny Army and Marine commanding generals' requests over the past 28 months to pull TWO DIVISIONS OF TROOPS away from guard duty at Unocal oil fields?
Chickenhawk (also chicken hawk and chicken-hawk) is a political epithet used in the United States to criticize a politician, bureaucrat, or commentator who strongly supports a war or other military action, but has never personally been in a war, especially if that person is perceived to have actively avoided military service when of draft age.
