Only mothers who have bad relationships with their daughters could understand this dilemma. Her father and I are divorced and of course she blames me. I have accepted this, but the problem is that verbally berates me almost constantly. She tells me she hates me, calls me worthless, even goes so far as to say she wishes that I would commit suicide and rid the world of me. The divorce happened 6 yrs ago, she is 22 yrs old now and her father and I get along great. She has a steady boyfriend, great job and siblings that don't hate me. I try to talk to her but she has just made up her mind that I am a nothing. I can't just let it be, I love her, she is my daughter. Any suggestions as to what to do? PS: I have become disabled and cannot work, she thinks it is a big lie and says that it is just another excuse. Thanks for your input..

I recently upgraded to a dedicated hosting package and am suffering a little on the learning curve with the following script which worked previously on a shared hosting package. I think it's a problem with granting file permission. Here's the code that processes a file upload ...

I have no problem creating the new directory, I'm only having a problem with move_upload_file.
So basically I keep getting the "Error uploading file" errors.

Any ideas??? Also, should I be using 0777?

My deck was already painted when I moved in and the paint has baked on there enough to where powerwashing didn't do the trick. Not sure of the effects of Muriatic Acid on wood. Any info would be helpfull.

I have a corn plant that is very beautiful but I noticed that it had some kind of dark brown worms infested in it. I want to kill the worms because if I don't eventually I know that it will kill my plant. How do I get rid of them without repotting as that will kill the plant too.

ok.. i have worked out pretty much my whole life.. well since i was in high school...
i just recently have been going to the gym and doing 30 min of cardio and lifting light weights and lots or repetitions....(doing this about a month)

I am also eating 5-6 small healthy meals a day...

However, despite all of this, i feel like im getting bigger...my jeans are tighter...andits really depressing b/c i am working so hard...

Any reasons why i am getting bigger.... please help

My office is unfortunate enough to have an 800 number that's very similar to that of a Canadian telecom company. We've tried to be nice to the dingbats who misdial. We know how to say "I don't speak French," "wrong number", even got someone to teach us "This is not the Canadian company."

Can you believe they have the nerve to argue with us!? I can understand just enough French to know they're arguing that "yes, you speak french - you just spoke it!" or "No, this isn't the wrong number! I have it right here!" Do they really think we're lying??

So it's time for stronger measures.

Can you give me (1) "You are very rude" and, in case that doesn't work, (2) something rude to say to the idiots that deserve it?

I promise to only use these on the nastier callers, but they really need to be put in their place!

you see, i have no real "religion" or church that i attend. i recently decided to isolate myself from my family's church, Roman Cahtolic.therefore, i am no longer a Roman Cahtolic. in fact , i never felt very "Catholic" considering i only got Baptized and i went to church about 2 or 3 times. i never felt comfortable at church. i never learned to pray. but i still believe in a God (i dont know if i believe in Jesus Chirst). i dont believe in the Virgin Mary. i always talk to God in my mind. i ask him to help me, guide me and to help others(including my family). i dont read the bible and i dont want to, ever! but i feel that i am not religious, i just feel that there is a God. what would you consider me to be????????

I would like to think that I am making my husband happy and meeting his needs and desires, but over the past few months things have changed.

I am 14 year old male and I want to loose about a stone and a half in 8 weeks for my holiday and also for general health. I currently weigh 10st and 4 pounds and I am about 5ft 3 tall. I took this equate E.P.T 6 days b4 my period and it came up negative so i waited a week after the fact on saturday night and took one of the expensive E.P.T thats cost about $16.00 and it showed a very faint but their positve line, i took another one sunday morning mothers day and the line was still faint but a little darker than the day b4..so i waited till this morning and took the other equate test and it still came up negative..i have quite a few pregnancy symptoms i cant understand why only those expensive test came up positive..has anybody else had this happen to them. if so what did you do?? I use to wash gym shoes every now and then in my old top loading washing machine. It is now gone and I have a new front loader. My children are now asking to have their gym shoes washed and I must say I'm scared to put them in. Should I be? Or is it okay to wash shoes in my new machine?
