I used to mix Gerber rice cereal with the formula I give my baby at night. It worked OK, but the rice cereal constipated him so we switched to oatmeal, it seems to work better. There is also a new formula by Enfamil that has rice in it, so it is thicker, you could try that.

If baby is eating cereal, mix some oatmeal cereal in with her veggies or fruit at dinner time and then do a regular bottle at bed time.

There is little difference between quality of the different brands of infant rice cereal. If your baby is younger than 4 months, it is generally not recommended to give a baby solids. Giving a baby cereal at night does not make him sleep through the night. Except in cases of infants with reflux, putting cereal in a bottle is not a good practice. If your baby is 4-6 months old or older and your doctor has given the go-ahead, you can try feeding him a little cereal with a spoon at night, but don't expect it to help him sleep longer. All babies are different and begin sleeping through the night at different ages.

food is not the reason that babies sleep through the night.

once a baby is around 3 months old he will sleep from 10 pm-7 am and around 4 months is usually the time that he will start sleeping 8 pm-7 am.

If you are trying to achieve this any sooner than this, you are going to be disappointed.

You should not start cereal with babies that are too young. it can cause constipation or maybe allergies.

the best thing for nighttime sleep is good naps and feedings during the day.

it is recommended not to put rice in the bottles. in order to get the rice out you have to make a larger hole in the nipple which can lead to choking. If it is necessary to give them cereal feed it to them from a spoon then followup with the milk in the bottle.

nicely, we did not attempt that so early. She become about 4 months previous at the same time as she wanting to stop slumbering in the course of the nighttime at the same time as she had already been on a fantastic nighttime recurring. After some weeks of screaming nights the position she demanded to be fed back, we wanting to grant it a attempt. We positioned some rice cereal in her very last bottle, and it worked. She slept the entire nighttime back. various people say this is negative and by no ability to do it choking chance, although this is fairly, fairly ok. you're nevertheless giving the toddler a liquid, no longer a competent. That prepacked rice starch formulation is likewise very, very binding. fairly. i'd initially wait it out a touch longer to grant your toddler a danger to get of their own recurring with out the help of rice, and in case you opt to operate some, commence small by utilising basically including some on your own to the popular formulation. It fairly did help us, although.
