If you are unsure, go to the doc for a blood test.
Testing and retesting are just going to stress you out.
If this turns out to be negative, wait until you actually miss a period do test, otherwise it's too early.
PS If you are going to test so often, buy the electronic refillable ones, they are cheaper.

Congratulations. It sounds to me like you have a baby on board.. Different test look for different amounts of the pregnancy hormone hCG.. Taking one 6 days before your missed period was to early. Especially with the equate brand.. Yes they are good test, but they also call for more of the hormone the the expensive E.P.T brand, and that could be the reason for the 2nd negative after 2 positives.. With this pregnancy.. I took one of the digital clear blue read outs, and it showed pregnant.. Went to the clinic and took one of there test ony to have it show negative.. I showed them the test I had taken myself, and they went ahead and wrote me down as being pregnant.. Good thing to I will be 19 weeks tomorrow.. If you are still unsure about getting both results, then I would suggest taking a digital test.. There is no guessing at all you are either pregnant or not pregnant. That simple.. But I am still leaning toward the congratulations mommy..

I would maybe wait another day or two and test again. Your hormone levels will rise daily from this point if you are pregnant. I would just take another pregnancy test with your fist urine of the morning on Sunday. The low levels may just be able to be detected in the one brand more so than the other. if you just can't wait you could always go to the doctor for a blood test, but chances are they wouldn't be able to tell you until Monday the results anyway. Best of luck to you... and I would say Congratulations at this point too... if the 2 came up with even a faint positive line you have a great chance!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

It's still early days, and you cannot rely on those negative tests. As a rule a faint line is still a line. So it is most likely you are pregnant, just testing too early. Women produce varying amounts of pregnancy hormone, and cheap test or expensive test alike can struggle to pick it up. All you can really do is wait another few days and retest. The god news is if you produce lower amounts of the hormone you are said to be less likely to suffer from morning sickness. I have always had very faint tests with all 4 of mine and I have never had morning sickness! Check out this website I found. It will explain everything you cold possibly need to know about pregnancy tests. Good Luck xx

I had the same thing happen to me. I had taken a First Response, and it was negative. I knew something was up though, because of the different symptoms I was having. I asked my pharmacist which test she recommended, and she said, an EPT. So, the next day, I took the EPT and it was positive. I took another one 6 hours later, and it too said positive. The next morning I went and had a blood test done to confirm, and by 2:30PM, I got the news that I was in fact pregnant. I'm now 9 weeks, and things are progressing like clockwork. If the EPT said positive, you can count on it being true. Just call your doctor and go in for a confirming blood test if you arent sure whether or not to believe the EPT. Congratulations to you, and best of luck.

Some brands can detect the pregnancy hormones earlier. If you've had 2 positive pregnancy tests, no matter how faint the line is, you're probably pregnant. You're much, much more likely to have a false negative than a false positive. Time to go to the Dr. for a triple check!

I would go with the positives b/c I haven't heard of "false positives" but I have heard and experienced the false negatives. no matter how light or dark the positive line is it means that the test picked up the pregnancy hormones in your body.
when in doubt call the doctor get a test there, or pick up another test (a 2 pack) do it in the morning with the first pee of the day...all the tests work the same.
good luck & congrats!

Yes ma'am... Had 2 very faint lines; and on one test it was darker than the other. One version was a dollor store and the other was a first response. I turned out to be pregnant.
The rule is a line is a line wheather it is dark light or barely there.
If you want a result now try getting an ultrasound or blood test.
good luck

Get one of the digital ones and take it. It will let you know for sure. But generally, if you read them in the right amount of time, you will not get a false positive. I took a test with the Equate Brand when I was 6 weeks along, and it showed up negative with my first.

I once took a test and it was posotive and i announced to the whole world i was pregnant only to look a fool when confirming it with a doc the test was negative,, (it was a false posotive) then when i fell pregnant with my daughter the doctors did blood tests thus to confirm i either was or wasnt as i had had a false posotive previous.
sounds like you are as itr is rare to get a false posotive but beware it does happen, it is more likely to get a false negative than the other way round,, the only thing you can do is go to your doctor who will do a blood test for you
good luck
