I have a parent who engages in emotional extortion or character assination to other family members if you don't comply with their demands. This parent displays a great deal of mysoginistic expectations. This parent has often sloughed off responsibility to other parties, namely daughters, in an effort to get out of it themselves. As a child of someone like this, how do you deal with the power a parent has over you? Also, I need to add that by pulling back from them, they in turn engage in character assasination about you to anyone who will listen. Do I just cut off from the parts of my family this parent has duped. There are several people on to this person and their methods, so I would not be isolated. I would add their health is not great. They use this to create an "oh woe is me" image much like the wife in the book Ethan Fromme. Meanwhile they are not nearly as helpless as they project, but are using this as a ploy to gain power through sympathy.

Lately the President has been refusing to sign any bills that have any removal schedule for our troops. These bills passed through the House and Congress every time. These bills are not the only ones to be subjected to outright refusal - regardless of what we as a people feel. The President has also moved troops into Iran, and has hired and spent exorbitant amounts of money on a private sector company of mercenaries called Blackwater. Do you feel as though you still have power as an individual in this democracy?

A friend of mine has not had her period for over three months. She tests every two weeks and the pregnancy results always come back negative. However, she is concerned that she might have a tubal pregnancy, which-from what I hear-are not shown on a pregnancy test-false readings. She hasn't any signs or anything. However, she does not have insurance and does not want to go to the doctor or hospital unless if she has too-if she has a tubal pregnancy she knows this must be taken care of immediately since this is life-threatening. I neek to know the signs so she and I can be aware of them. Is there a gradual showing of symptoms or do they come at once? Also, how long after conception do these symptoms appear?

I have a Goodmans 32" HDTV which has worked fine for a month until recently when coloured dots and sparkles started to show up on screen at random intervals. At one point the screen went a purple haze colour and then just fixed itself when playing my xbox 360. It seems to be worse when on my xbox but I have tried testing the 360 cables and they are fine. I am thinking it may be interference as if it was the tv surely it would happen more often or when im watching tv or a dvd. My sky cable was loose and when i moved my phone cable from the sky box the screen colour flicked. I have my sky box, xbox and dvd player in the same corner so is this sparkle dot effect an interference issue or is it my tv?

I have read on here that, according to Christianity, God cannot lie. Is this true?

So does God have free will? If he CANNOT lie he must not have free will. If he does not have free will then he must be a creation. If he is a creation then something must be more powerful than God, therefore God could not be omnipotent.

Or is it that God CAN lie, but chooses not to? If this is the case then are all the Christians who claim he cannot lie uneducated about their own religion?

This seems like a rational thought process to me. I would appreciate some religious justification for what I see (I admit I could well be wrong) to be a blantant contradiction

Im seriously considering getting it done, and I was wondering-
Does it get in the way?
Is it irriating-because its in a delicate area?
When you take it out, is there a noticible hole?

When I was 18, I thought 35 was old.
When I was 35, I thought 50 was old.
Now I'm 54, and I think 65 is old.
The point is, it's all relative and different for each person,
but at what age will you think you are old?
