I thought all Conservatives were Pro Life. Some of the Conservatives have flipped flopped on this issue. What's going on here?

Will conservatives put a pro-choicer in the White
House? I hope not. I didn't see any of the candidates
last night in the debates that were strong pro-choicers.
If it is part of the law of the land, then politicians have
to abide by it........until they can change the law back to
decent legislation. Even Roe (in the Roe vs Wade) is
now against abortion tho she's the one that caused
all this in the first place long years ago. She finally
matured and wised up.

That's just because you are too young or too uninformed to remember the Republican party before the religious right took over.

Since the Reagan days, fiscal Conservatives and social Conservatives have held an alliance and voted in a Republican president in five out of seven elections.

Giuliani has the potential to split this vote, while at the same time attracting more moderate voters. Things very well could get interesting.

You are confused by the fact that we are not all the same and that there might actually be some diversity on our side of the aisle, huh? It is hard when you can't lump us all into one category. Also, the choice between Rudy Guliani and Hiliary Clinton is a very easy one for me and all other conservatives to make. Abortion and abortion rights are a non-issue anyway, the right to choose will not be taken away in the next ten to fifteen years because the Supreme Court is not going to overturn Roe v. Wade. There are many more pressing needs and issues in this country.

Bush the first was one. It is not the number one issue for all conservatives, just some of the religious right. There is a big difference between a political conservative and a religious conservative.

Conservatives ARE pro-life, but many of our b.s. Republican candidates are wussies (gimme a P), and are too afraid to state their true beliefs. The Republican platform is pro-life. If a candidate does not believe in pro-life across the board, then he is NOT a Republican. The truth is, however, we're probably going to send a b.s. pro-abortion candidate to the election. Try to find JUST ONE with a backbone. It makes no sense. If you believe that it's murder (and it is -- NOTHING CAN GROW IF IT'S NOT ALIVE), then you can't say you don't want to stop others from murdering. This is complete b.s.

Pro-lifers have spent decades defending life. The truth is that we don't have to defend life -- it is the pro-abortionists who must prove that it is NOT life -- because if there is a CHANCE that it is life, then THEY are erring on the side of murder. Again, if you CANNOT PROVE that an unborn baby IS NOT ALIVE and you are pro-choice, then you are erring on the side of murder. Simple as that.

I have no idea what's going on. I certainly hope that a pro-choice conservative will not get into office.

No right now the GOP is too busy trying to get elected a pro-choice, pro-gun control liberal in sheep's clothing Giuliani, who is tough on crime.

Just because you are in the GOP does not mean you are a conservative.

It isn't called flip flopping when your a Republican. It isn't their fault!...They were under the influence of that terrible notion of independent thought...how dare they!
Or they were trying to get elected to office somewhere, take your choice. Oohps did I say choice? I apologize what the hell was I thinking?
