Can anybody help? I need to know how many days your employer HAS to let you have off (if any?!). Also, what is the law on Sick Pay, Maternity Pay etc? Any help would be appreciated! (also is there a "minimum wage?") Thanks!

Unless you have a contract with the employer, he doe's not have to give you any of the things you mentioned. These are "benefits" that employers have the option of giving. As far as maternity, there is Family Leave law but the employer does not have to pay you for it. Minimum wage is covered under State Law. It varies from the type of job you have. Restaurant workers (servers) get a lower minimum than factory workers.
