Those saying to replace your pressure tank and see if that fixes the problem are correct. You may also need a new pressure switch which is attached to the tank. If the pump vanes are going bad you can often hear it when the pump runs. If the pump runs quiet, it's probably ok. My friend was a well driller for many years and told me the old pumps were designed to run forever and the new pumps designed for about 10 years of service. You'll know if the pump is bad once you replace your tank and switch. No sense spending a major amount of money if you don't need to.

The "blue tank" is what controls the water pressure. If the bladder on the tank is bad, that is a major reason the electric bill is high. The pump has to run to "try" to keep up the pressure. I would replace the tank only at this time and see what happens. If the impellors on the pump go bad, you won't get any water. They are what lift the water.

I wouldn't change the pump unless I had to. Our pump lasted over 30 years. If you have plenty of water just no pressure then the bladder in the tank is the problem. The pump does not really have anything to do with water pressure. It only refills the tank

Replace the blue tank first, have the preasure increased on your new tank. I don't fix what aint broke, if your pump was bad you not have water. pumps can last 20 or 25 years. Or 14, replace the blue tank first.
good luck

You know what, I would replace all the equipment just to be safe. If you're replacing most of it already, then do the same to the rest, just to be certain. Besides, 14 years is pretty old for a pump. How would you feel if you didn't replace it and a year or two from now you find yourself doing an emergency repair?
