I am v.p. of a writer's group. I booked a banquet room at a local restaurant for our conference. Last month, we cancelled the conference and I forgot to cancel the reservations. They were for next Friday night. I called today, and was really apologetic. The owner was upset, of course, because not only did it affect her but also the professional theater troupe who lost a night of performance space. But she was really kind about it. I'm hoping to spread the word to the membership and have 25 to 30 people show up just for a networking, but with such short notice (a week) am not sure if it will happen.) I always seem to do stupid things like this and it is really damaging to my self esteem and my relationships.

I mean, look at the evidence according to your own bible. First in the garden of eden, he lets satan plant that tree. Then he lies to adam and says he'll die if he eats from it. Then adam eats it, and god has to call out to adam to see where he is. Instead of your usual "free will" arguement, which gets really old btw, perhaps this is because god's not as powerful as he'd like you to think? Maybe he couldn't remove the tree or keep satan from planting it. Maybe he couldn't stop adam from eating it, free will or not. Think about it. Why would this all-powerful being create a race by starting off with only 2. And, free will or not, create 2 being whom he had to know beforehand would choose to eat the apple. Why not create 2 who used their free will not to eat the apple? Maybe because he had no control of this? Maybe because man has the potential to be as a god (at god's own admission) and this so-called superbeing is just trying to keep man from reaching his true potential?

Have you noticed that most prophets, if not all, are MALES.
Have you noticed that all gods are MEN.
Ever wondered why?
Men at that time were far more dominant than women.
From Zeus, to Jesus, to Allah and Mohammed, men have always portrayed their gods and prophets as men.
Their masculine pride lead them to depict God as a man.
The Chrisitans, tried to make a slight difference, they intoduced the concept of Virgin Mary.
Yet even in Christianity, women don't share deity. The Father is obviously a male. So is the son. Virgin Mary is not God.
How can God's mother not be a god?
This phenomena is still apparent today.
Notice, when referring to God, do you call him a HE or a SHE?
Girls, you have been brainwashed. The Christian God is sexist.

How can I keep this secret if my parents have to pay for my medical insurance? What about my taxes can they still cliam me? I need help I am scared. I was hit by a drunk driver. There were injuries involved, but medical treatment is now done. The adjuster I'm dealing with treats me like crap. Basically like I did something bad. He does not want to pay my medical despite his insured driver being 100% at fault. I am ready to settle, but he acts like he hopes I'll go away. He basically has an attitude of "what do you want" when ever I call.

I know, get an attorney, but I'm waiting to see what they might offer before I go that route. The attorney will take 40% of he has to sue, which means I've got to get a bundle over the medical bills just to pay me costs.

How common is it to request a different adjuster? Who, how, and where do I ask for this? Will they accomodate my request? Any tips on how to approach this idea? There is no way I want to deal with this same adjuster again. He is a genuine ******, for real!

So both screwed up and look like idiots. Pacman goes to a strip club, the day before he meets the commisioner about an incident at the strip club! i was going to try and get to New York and get a train once i got off the plane. My friend says it would be better to go to newark, but it's cheaper for me to go to JFK. Therefore i was wondering how close the train stations are to the airport. I am a dreadful traveller and need things to be easy.

This guy came into my work one day and we hit it off pretty well. We've known each other for over 2 weeks now. He came to visit me one day at work, We hung out at the beach until about 3 am, He kissed me, I was shocked. We went back to my house and watched borat till we passed out. He's the one making the moves. He kissed me, he held my hand, he cuddled up to me on the beach, he holds me when we sleep. he's always holding my hand or kissing me. We haven't had sex, we both agree it's too soon. Is that a good sign? He just moved here from Florida, and doesn't really have a stable place to stay since the person he was living with just bailed out on him. I invited him to stay for a few days. Now he's leaving to Utah to visit his "cousin" whom he was speaking to on aim. I, being curious, looked at the last thing she said and it was "in 11 days you'll be sitting next to me" Am I freaking out over nothing?

How about carbon fiber bodies coated with PV material? How about even creating photovoltaic carbonfiber. Could that be a possibility, in this amazingly fast advancing world of technology? we even have levitating nanosized mirrors, why not pv carbonfiber?
