I have a 1 year old Cairn terrier. At night, everynight, when its time to go to bed his breathing gets weird. He pants, and breathes very quickly. I've started keeping a water dish in the bedroom, but he rarely ever drinks from it, so it isnt because of thirst. He also licks. and licks and licks and licks. He'll lick me, the blankets, my pillow, whatever his little tongue can reach from where he's laying. I have even had to get up in the middle of the night to change my pillowcases because he has soaked it. Are these things normal? The breathing I know there isnt anything that I can do about it, its just a little weird. The licking i'd like to stop, but i dont know how (i dont want to use 'Bitter Apple' or anything like that on my bed)
Any suggestions would be helpful (and by suggestions, i mean something that has more to it than "if you dont like it then dont let him sleep in the bed" because that is not helpful in the least)

Both of my mom's parents had als and my mom died of it also. I just found out my uncle is dying of it. If you are a carrier of this type of ALS you will eventually die from it. I'm only 22, do you think I should get tested (for genetic reasons ie: children, choice of spouse)?

I'm one to think that marriage can be great without the aspect of bringing kids into it and can well be easier and less stressful. Married almost 8yrs chosen not to have kids it's awesome you have so much time to do the things you want to do and well can just up and go whenever you want.

i hear this word rarely, i think it almost disappeared..what happen to the world? where did the innocence, morals n ethics gone??? don't u miss being innocent??? don't u wish that u didnt know all what u knew???
i see little boys n girls acting like adults, they speak bout things that i just knew 2 or 3 years ago...they even know things i donno...

i wish i didnt know many things, i wish i didnt do many things, i wish i lived in a place where simplicity exists...where good ethics n morals still there...i just wish to see the innocence in someone's eyes...to believe in everything and know nothing at all...can we go back to innocence or it's too late in this strange world??? i really miss being innocent...do u feel the same?

my two freinds are going out in the forest looking for bears because they want to try to kill them with just a knife should i a. take my shotgun and a video camera and video tape them tring to kill the bear and when the bear gets a hold of them shoot it or bjust let them get eaten .i already tried to talk them out of it

I've tried several areas of nursing and I've discovered that the long hours and stress isn't for me. I am the primary income for my family so I just continue in this unhappy cycle year after year. I've considered massage therapy or something in the holistic healing area. I enjoy working but I am screaming out for help to find a less stressful and more enjoyable career. I'm proud that I help people in their times of need, but the chronic worry and stress has started to cause physical and mental health problems. Any advice or suggestions are welcome.

So, our relation hasnt been on top of the hills lately. I tried my best to make it work and so has he. He has been an angel. Very sweet, honest, and a real gentleman. Plus he has a very stable job. But something he said today upset me a lot. He told me, "I think you should loose weight because you have gained a lot since we have been dating." Now that isn't the part that upset me, what really upset me was when he said, "It the summer time and girls are wearing skirts. I never did this before but I started looking at them." It just accured to me. They are part of that Southern Baptist religion that holds the wife to be the servant of the husband. If they do not agree, and they obviously do not, they should leave the religion and it should make the headlines. Or is religion there just to say you have it?
