I'm one to think that marriage can be great without the aspect of bringing kids into it and can well be easier and less stressful. Married almost 8yrs chosen not to have kids it's awesome you have so much time to do the things you want to do and well can just up and go whenever you want.

Everyone has the right to make their own choices. Congratulations on knowing just what you wanted. Too many people have children that really do not want them. The poor child is never treated right, and grows up with problems. You made a wise choice!!

I think if you don't want to have kids, don't have them.
We're already getting huge over population as it is without forcing people to have more babies.
I stopped at one even though I've been asked a billion times why I didn't have more (I like quiet, and I like sleep, and I like not being pregnant and pushing a basketball through my hoo hoo, and I like not having to lose all that baby fat when all I feel like doing is sleeping after the kid is born)...
I got VERY lucky with my ONE child - he's a great kid, I don't want to push my luck with a second one - plus, In time I want my freedom back to do as I want, when I want, how I want.
Since 94 I've dedicated the next 18 yrs to raise a great kid, but after that, I'm gonna live again baby lol.........ohhhhhhhh yeah!!!!!!!!

I aggree. I have been trying to have kids since before my husband and I got married and now that I found out I can't have any, to keep myself from becoming depressed because of that, I just tell myself that life is better without them, more money to buy things and more free time, go wherever without having to buy a babysitter. Yep It's all good.

My husband and I have 2 incredible kids.
I can't say that I have a lot of freedom. I can't pick up and go as I please. I might have a few loads of laundry that I didn't get to, and sometimes I'm up all night with a sick little one... but I can't imagine life without the magic that children bring. I'm not saying that parenthood is for everyone, but for us it's been the best decision we've ever made.

not everyone wants kids. That's GOOD that you don't have any if you know you shouldn't have them. It'd be really unfare all the way around...for you, your wife , and the kid. I have two beautiful babies and love them to pieces. But like I said...not everyone is meant to have them. Being married shouldn't obligate a couple to have kids...unless they want to .

It IS old news...when people have kids just because they're married..it usually shows in their parenting and their relationship with their kid. It's a stupid reason that only harms the child/children.

It is not only old news, IT IS A VERY BAD REASON.
Getting married just becuase your having a child is as bad as having a child just because your married.
