About 2 1/2 weeks ago I was at work and bent over to pick something up and on my way up I hit my head fairly hard on an x-ray unit. I didn't feel well a few days after but my headache went away. About five days ago I felt worse and have a neck strain too. When I am in bed trying to fall asleep at times I jump up because it feels like I'm losing my breath for some reason. I went to the doc today and he thinks I may have post concussion syndrome. He prescribed me some darvon and I took one and now my forehead/head feel like they are asleep. They scheduled me for a head CT scan for next week Thur to see if I have bleeding or any severe problems (he thinks I should be fine) but I don't know if I want to wait that long since I don't feel well at all. My question is for anyone who has ever had post concussion syndrome are these symptoms supposed to be severe like they are for me? Or is this not normal?

No matter which side you are on politically is this really the way its supposed to be?

I recall clearly the GOPs on these yahoo boards crowing the arrogant advice to the Democrats:
"why don't you try winning an election?"...
...well they did.

I have a theory on why India is doing poorly in cricket. We been cursed by gods because a cricketer who deserves to be selected as he is still young & talented & has prooved himself on numerous occasions for India but has not been selected to the team due to politics & fact that we have an aging & insecure captain who is now unable to get along with any of his team mates who are also ageing and insecure.
Eg.
1. Dravid gets injured in the nets
2. Sachin gets injured in the nets
3. Manoj Tiwari gets his shoulder injured.
4. India fails to get into the world cup super 8. Last time they were runners up
5. India loose to Bangladesh in WC
6. India loose to Srls when they had walloped them in India
This is nothing but punishment and curse by God on our team and Selectors not selecting deserving persons.
India will keep having these jinxes till they rectify the selection process and stop this cruelty. Even gods has cursed Indian team what can mere mortals with hidden agenda achieve

I am interested in how much my guitar is worth. If my research is correct I have one of the original 20 Billy Grammer guitars. It has a spruce body and pearl inlay. It is kinda of worn but thats what a guitar should look like after 50 years+ of playing.....so i am just looking for a ballpark number here. Thanks

I have been with my husband for 8 years, we have had some troublesi n the past with him being unfaithful , well last week he sent one of my friends a bunch of roses and a card saying you take my breath away, Ot make it short some things were said and he said something to her and she cracked it with him, now he wants to know why she cracked and hates him, which means he is going to go around there by himself. I'm looking to increase my speed and I read that playing while having your thumb over the neck doesn't help at all. I read that you should instead use "a light touch" in handling the guitar when attempting to play quickly. Can anyone explain what this position should look like?

i'm using a V-brake now
i usually cycle on road with my mountain bike
but although its on road, sometime it can be quite fast and when rain, its not good to use V-brake
so, do you think i should change to a disc brake?

I seriously don't get it. I have friends that continually go after the guy i would deem as assholes, they get hurt and come crying to me or another close friend. They don't realize what they deserve and how perfect they are just as they are without any changes. For some reason, many people in poverty who have a strong desire to extract themselves from it usually find a way to do so. They work extra jobs, or save more money or get more education. Countless dirt-poor immigrants have arrived on US shores and built themselves a better life, even opening their own businesses...which is why they continue to come here.

However, other poor people have decided not to extract themselves from poverty. They are content with their lot in life, or do not possess sufficient motivation. In any event, that is their choice to make, not ours. But social welfare entitlement programs are likely to only further this malaise, this laziness, because for these folks (not truly physically disabled people!), why bother trying if everything is already handed to you?

Of course, some bleeding-hearts will make the argument that they are "disadvantaged" or "oppressed"... but even IF that were true, this didn't stop their ambitious counterparts from succeeding.

anything like that, but he is respectfull and has a decent car, fairly good job..and most importantly likes me for who I am and has not tried to make me into something or someone I am not..Yet my family and friends tell me that I am settling for someone who is beneath me..Merely because he is not physically fit...I say who cares, he makes me feel like I am on top of the world...If I don't care about his weight, why should they?
