well one assumes you mean survive out his term rather then never died, i wont get into the whole "immortal Lincoln" possibilities

The biggest thing would have been the damage that was done to the south in the name of "reconstruction" would probably not have occurred. they south was ravaged as revenge, not so much for the war, but for the assassination.

Sherman got all the revenge people felt they needed over the war itself, the assassination changed a lot of attitudes of people in power.

do you mean if he hadn't been assassinated?
Lincoln was very depressed and at times suicidal. He had mentioned hanging himself on a number of occasions. Some people thought he was the most depressed person they had ever met.
There could have been a number of things that would happen involving the South and whatnot, but Lincoln may have just killed himself, and then there would be a similar effect.
Maybe people would not have found him to be as great a president as he was.
Who can tell? There are so many things that could happen from that one event.

A lot of subsequential policies wouldn't have been put in place. Also, that weirdo Andrew Johnson would have been kept in check.
