I have strugged with my religious beliefs. Intellectual reason tends to disagree with most religious beliefs. And as much as I'd love there to be a heaven, and a creator, I cant help but think.. maybe we're just here because we're here and there's no higher power. But, really I don't know. I cannot believe in something that I can't believe, as much as I want to. I can be a good person and live a happy life because that's what I know, but beyond that I am unsure. And Im not willing to have a religion out of fear either. This is a weird question but hopefully I can get some insightful answers?

I had a quick question about driving:
I often drive in neutral when going down hills to save petrol, I overheard someone saying that rather than putting the car in neutral they held the clutch down - this has the same effect because it disconnects the gears from the engine (something like that), but does it damage the clutch? Is there anything bad about keeping your clutch all the way down aside from lack of engine braking?

Does anyone know of any cheap or free things to do in Las Vegas that doesn't require a car? My parents are going there for 4 days for a conference..I have a feeling my dad might be bored so Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I know it's practically impossible not to spend any money there but one that doesn't make a fat dent in your wallet...we are normal people, not like Britney or Paris who can afford everything. Hi I'm not perfect but I do believe in God and Jesus. I'm not a genius but I had stellar grades in college, I was in the top three percent of the entrance results of our university entrance exam. My question is this why do so many people assume a believer of the Christian faith is dumb? Can you justify your answer aside from because you guys believe in the resurrection of your Christ?

I met this guy a while back and now we're pretty good friends. I would like for it to be more but I'm afraid to bring it up. I think he's great guy and I really love him, but I'm scared what he'll say.

Anyway, he's a Marine and right now he's in Africa. I've written him a couple of letters so far (he's been over there about 2 months now and I've sent 5 letters I think...) Although so much of today's destruction, violence and (massive) death is due to religion, some theists/Christians will still hold on to their faith in three ways:

"It is the Devil at work"
"God works in mysterious ways. He has a good plan for all those people"
"It is God's wrath because of the atheists. We are to blame them"

#3: Ironic isn't it? Atheists are rarely the ones doing all this harm (look at the U.S. prison population), yet when some catastrophe happens we are to blame because God is supposedly angry at us for simply not believing and he decided to take that out on EVERYONE - not just the atheists (if at all).

Well, the other day I took my dag walking with a friend of mine, about half way through the walk, in the distance, I saw him start to turn his head sideways as he was returning to me with his ball in his mouth. it looked like something was irritating him or he had an itch. he then shook his head and hasn't sopped since. it was a little wet out side and maybe I thought he could have just gotten water in his ears, but upon looking in his ear I noticed a bunch of red dots all over the inside of his ear. what is it, he just won't stop. please help, he doesn't deserve this, he's too much of a good guy to have to suffer.
