I am very happy about the dow's performance right now. To look for clues as to why, I have a feeling, that its just keeping the value of the US shares, as the dollar falls against major currencies. Any ideas?

The DOW movement is almost completely unrelated to the value of the dollar VS other currencies. Prices of stocks in the DOW are adjusted based only upon their performance and investor purchases. The value of other currencies do not come into play here.

The fall of the dollar is a result of the debt our country has taken on due to funding of the wars. This is why it is so dern expensive to visit Europe.

I doubt it.....great earning is the answer....do anything you want with the dollar and it won't change the market by itself...some multinational companies sell more or less based on the dollar and raw materials from those countries that some of our manufacturers need cost more. But remember if their cost go up and they still show great earning because of more efficiencies....the market will go up.
