My fiance and I are getting married in September with only a few of our family members being there(30), I need to describe that it will only be a few people invited without putting intimate on the invite. Does any one have any suggestions?

We too are having a small and intimate wedding in June, also with about 30 or so guests. I didn't mention the size of the wedding on the invitation, since the guests are family and very close friends they already knew about it. I have never received an invitation mentioning the size of the wedding and I guess it wouldn't have mattered to me anyway! My advice is to just leave any mention of the size of your wedding out. Are you happy with a small and intimate wedding? Me too!

I dont think that is something to put on an invitation. What is your reason? If it is to tell people not to talk about it to others who may feel bad for not being invited, then call these 30 and say that but if you are having formal invitations sent out, that isnt the kind of thing you put on them. Best wishes. It will be very nice

You don;t have to, since the people invited already know that it would be a small affair.

I belive that you are concern to tell others why they are not being invited (because is a small wedding), in that case, you should inform the ones that are NOT being invited instead. Telling the guest list that is goingto be a small wedding makes no sense.

Good luck

look in a thesauras and find an alternate word for "intimate". Go on line and you will find thesauras websites to choose from.

You might say that it's for "a few cherished guests", or perhaps use the word cozy.
