I bag groceries as a job and everyday, I see how wasteful people can be when they ask us to double bag plastic, or to bag their groceries in paper and hang them in plastic. Many of them don't realize how harmful to the environment this can be. Especially using plastic bags. Around here, you cant recycle palstic bags because they jam the recycling machines and we get shipments where entire crates of plastic bags have holes in them and we have to throw them away. I try to encourage customers to use paper as it is re-usuable, can hold more, easier on the environment, etc etc. Next week it is earth week and the store is giving out canvas bags that customers can bring back everytime they shop. Do you ever wonder how your choice of bags can make a difference? What do you think about this? Are there any other suggestions you have on how to help the environment when it comes to grocery bags?

hello. i have a friend i wont say her name she has been going through alot lately more physcially than mentally but there are some emotional scars. I think she is getting sick and tired and i wont to make sure she is allright. Im not a deeply religious person but i have heard of the prayer chain method i dont know if its for major life-threating emergencies or simple request of caring and looking after someone who is sick physcially or mentally but to any people of God could any of you please with your deepest hearts start a prayer chain for my friend i want to make sure she is allright. The physcial strain she is suffering is serious hopefully she will be allright. I have no experience in this field nor do i know what types of prayer methods are there but will any of you start a prayer chain with me for my friend who i care deeply about. I've only seen this prayer chain work on tv once when someone was in a bad car wreck friends and family started one and 1 month later she was well

I got a new digital thermometer today and I measured my temperature three times today at different times.

11:30am: 36.3 degrees C
6:30 pm: 36 degrees C
9:50pm: 35.8 degrees C

I got my husband to measure his temperature at 6:30 as well, his was 36.5 degrees C.

Is this possible or is my thermometer faulty? I do have an underactive thyroid so it's possible I have a low body temp, but I'm taking medication for it. It was a nice warm day today in Glasgow so I can't blame the temperature.
Any suggestions?

As I go back to the gym

Where is the love that Christians speak about? Don Imus made a comment about some female basketball players being nappy headed hos.

Does that call for him to be fired? What glory or satisfaction is achieved by taking away someone's livelihood? If he did something wrong, which I do not believe he did, then does that mean that he should be forever condemned?

Throughout this whole thing, I did not see the love of Christ portrayed by the basketball team, media, sponsors or Imus.

I did however hear Imus's wife who asked that all those supporting Imus to stop sending hate mail to the basketball team but rather direct the mail to her husband.

Why do we not hear more about such a wonderful, Christian gesture?

Do I just say, "Hey this guy raped me" and he goes to jail, or does there have to be some real proof like evidence of a struggle, or is DNA evidence enough? If they just go by DNA, how do courts decide between rape and consensual sex? If it's a case of his word against her's, does it even go to court or does the woman's testimony mean more than evidence or lack thereof? Do men get convicted just due to a good story or is there some sort of minimum requirement for evidence?
