how does ebay work?

i am thinking of selling some stuff on ebay. i have never used ebay and was wondering how it works. also, is there any charges i should know about?

Yes, there are fees to list your item for sell and a final value fee if it does sell. Search around in the Completed Auctions to see what your items are usually selling for.
