Ummm wikipedia man what does prostitution have to do with incense?

There is a incense company based in Texas called Devonshire Apothecary..no one ever has or ever will make an incense that is anywhere near as good as theirs and that is a promise and a guarantee. It's not cheap either (these aren't the skinny sticks that smell like a campfire this is REAL incense) they make the following scents Carnation, Copal, Cinnamon, Frangipani, Frankincense, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Lotus, Musk, Myrrh, Bayberry, Blueberry, Cherry, Coconut, Passion Flower, Patchouli, Pine, Rose, Sandalwood, Spice, Spirit, Temple, Vanilla, Pina Colada, Strawberry, Tangerine and Watermelon. Each one is color coded and smells exactly like what it is suppossed to smell like. They tend to sell for a nickle apiece which is expensive as far as incense goes but once you buy from them you will never want anyone else's incense.

I go for Sandalwood and Patchouli. You can buy Devonshire Apothecary incense at some ren fairs, head shops and retail outlets and of course online. They also make soaps and herbal remedies. I never buy cheap incense because too many times it never burns all the way whether it be sticks or cones (Wal-Mart incense is the absolute worst at doing that). I used Gonesh before i heard of Devonshire.

Hippies aren't the only ones who use incense...orthodox Christians, pagans, Bhuddists and people into tantric sex do as well.

Incense comes in many fragrances--a lot of different types of herbs, plants, and other pleasing scents. My favorites are sandalwood, jasmine, vanilla, lavender, rose, frankincense. I'm Hindu and my mom burns incense at some religious ceremonies, and it smells very good. It's very aromatic--a lot better than air fresheners. And you're getting it for a pretty reasonable price, too. The only negative to burning incense is that it may cause problems for people who are sensitive to smoke.

Some smell very nice, and impart a lingering fragrance to the house, I would purchase a variety of the scents and note which ones I liked best for future purchases. So, yes I do like to burn incense.

I love it! It's much more effective than candles to get me in a peaceful mood. I like all different kinds, except for the flowery ones. I've usually bought them at Wal-Mart, but I'm switching to the flower store downtown. You can pick and choose from about 20 scents.

If you can do better than the $ store(i.e. a small shop or kiosk where they make their own), try:
Black Coconut
Tunisian Opium
Egyptian Musk

These are a few of my favourites to burn for ritual or pleasure.

Not really. But I do like incense.

I've only bought it a few times. As far as where I've bought it, it just depends on where I happen upon it. It's always random. I don't go looking for it.

Incense is primarily a method for hippies to cover up their 'other' smoke smells. I don't burn them, and if you're not a hippy, you shouldn't either.
