Where is the love that Christians speak about? Don Imus made a comment about some female basketball players being nappy headed hos.

Does that call for him to be fired? What glory or satisfaction is achieved by taking away someone's livelihood? If he did something wrong, which I do not believe he did, then does that mean that he should be forever condemned?

Throughout this whole thing, I did not see the love of Christ portrayed by the basketball team, media, sponsors or Imus.

I did however hear Imus's wife who asked that all those supporting Imus to stop sending hate mail to the basketball team but rather direct the mail to her husband.

Why do we not hear more about such a wonderful, Christian gesture?

I know I distinctly called the "gesture" Christian. One need not be a Christian to show Christian love. Jews as well as any other religion can extend gestures that are Christlike....

I wish someone would explain to me what a "nappy headed ho" meant. Why on EARTH would anyone want to put a nappy on their head? I fail to see the analogy. Please email me and let me know!

What basketball team are you talking about? What media are you talking about? I stayed up late last night watching Fox News and you know what, they did all but make excuses for what Imus did... no actually they did make excuses for Imus. If that's the love you're talking about then there it is. As for the girls basketball team, did you hear, they forgave Imus, so what are you talking about. And how dare you portray Imus as the victim in all of this. You obviously don't know the weight that comment carries, and it could be because: A)Your not a black female, or B) You are a black female who has never experienced racial tension or sexism aimed toward you. BTW who cares if you didn't think it was wrong, the girls who were the true victims did and their tears tell us so. Maybe you should be more Christian like and cry out for those who were victimized by such ignorant comments.

A man reaps what he sows. That's a spiritual law. There ARE consequences to our bad behaviors. Even the repentant thief on the cross still had to die on it that day.

We had a similar situation here less than a decade ago. A mouthy white talk-show host blasted the black mayor with a racial slur and insult. The radio guy got fired.

The mayor is now out of office, but the talk show host is back, and he's more popular than ever!

The same will happen to Imus. People have short memories.

perhaps because there are a lot more wonderful Christians whos husbands are not radio personalities. Why would you hear about it? Christianity involves humility which means you don't toot your own horn. You keep your "christian gestures" to yourself.
