It sounds like your fish probably has a bacterial infection. I would suggest treating with Furanace or Maracyn 2. If the white film covers more than just the eye and is on the fishes body as well it's possible you are dealing with a protozoa infestation. That you can treat with Clout.

hi sorry to hear about your fish. it sounds like you may have a fungus and finrot problem or a pop eye problem. i had the same problem. i simply treated it with anti fungus and finrot, then i had to use something called anti internal bacteria it treats the swollen eye. now when i fisrt had the problem it worked like a charm, but when a different fish had this i noticed its scales were starting to stand up or raise off her body, this i was told is called "dropsy " which is untreatable. but very contagious, look at your fish and check the scales so that you know its worht trying to save it, if it does have dropsy i suggest you flush it straight away! but if not you can simply try the treatments. hope this helps

sounds like fungus. Interpet do a good range of treatments, look for the anti fungus and finrot one. Have you tested your water, the problem may be there. If you don't do regular water changes of 25 % each week your fish will become ill and you can keep putting treatment in but it won't do a thing until you treat the root cause. Good luck.

Your fish has popeye. It needs to be treated.Put in isolation because it can be contagious.Primafix or melafix may fix this if it hasnt been too long.Ive had a few to loose the eye and eventually die.the other fish will start to pick at it and the fish.So get the basket that hangs on top and keep it by itself until it heals.
