I have a friend who just got braces and she's in a lot of pain because of the pressure and tightness she feels. Does anyone have any suggestions of what she could take to relieve the pressure?

Car question? Is "Braces" made by Honda? Take her to Jiffy Lube, they will know what to do.

If you put the wax on your braces it will stop them from irritating the inside of your mouth- I found that it helped a lot, but after a week or so you will be used to the braces and you won't need the wax anymore. Ibuprofen (like Motrin or Advil) will definitely relieve the pain too. I'm not sure what your brother means, but I would agree with your parents- wax and medicine help a lot.

1. Tell her to go back to the dentist for an adjustment and advice as to pain relief.

2. Asking questions of this nature in Cars & Transportation, Car Makes, Toyota is unlikely to get you quality answers to dental problems.
