The Bible says that when one speaks in tongues, there must be someone to interpret. But, I have a problem.
When I have heard this "speaking in tongues", it sounded like gibberish. I thought, how can one interpret gibberish? But somone always came up with what they said was the interpretation.
I always wondered, do you REALLY know what you're "saying"? Aren't you ever afraid that you are really cursing God? After all, Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light, so I would imagine he could also disguise himself as the Holy Spirit, making people say things that, if they really knew what they were saying, they would rather cut out their tongues than say it.
Do you speak in tongues? Interpret tongues? How do you know what you are saying, or that it's the truth?
What about where Paul says that one should seek the gift of prophecy rather than tongues, that tongues is only to edify the believers, or that UNKNOWN tongues is to be used only in the privacy of your room?
