The resurrection of Jesus is the cardinal affirmation of Christian faith found in the New Testament and passed on to us by early Christians. To confess, "Jesus is Lord," one has to accept that "God raised him from the dead" (Romans 10, 9) and that "if Christ has not been raised, then is pour preaching in vain and your faith is vain too" (1 Corinthians 15,14). Not to admit the resurrection of Jesus means that one is not a Christian.

There are six different resurrection narratives in the New Testament (Mark 16,1-8; Matthew 28,1-20; Luke 24, 1-53; John 20,1-29; the Johannine appendix, 21,1-23 and the appendix to the Marcan gospel 16,19-20). They are all the same in many ways except for the accounts of the empty tomb. It should be noted that Paul makes no mention of an empty tomb in his letters (1 Corinthians 15,3-5) Hence, the story of an empty tomb might seem to be of later (apologetic) origin. So the big question is, what was the resurrection of Jesus like? Was it resuscitation or a reanimation? Luke 24, 37-39 seems to reject the idea that he was like a spook.

Why is it that some people have a difficult time letting go of the past?

Why doesn't the "letting go" part come easily. Are all people like that? Sometimes it's so strong that it prevents you from doing your daily tasks. It leads to anxiety, depression....What causes this?

My exhusband incurred over 7000 in debt after our divorce on a card that apparently I was a card holder. I found out 3 years later that he was deliquent and I paid off the debt because it was ruining my credit and he was no where to be found. Now he owns his own business and has never repaid me and will not take my calls. I have been trying to contact him for 2 year now. Please help.

I have a 8 seater MPV so have been stung by the new road tax (thanks Gordon), it runs on diesel which is also the dearest fuel available. I only do about 5,000 miles per year but with road tax going up to £400 next year, wonder whether its now worth converting to LPG if that's possible with a diesel car. And how much lower is road tax for a LPG vehicle?

Ive had some pretty traumatic things happen in my life, dad died when i was a baby mom has head injury, lived with grandma and then found her unconsious and now live with my uncle. At times i feel so so sad. But other times i feel so happy. Before i go to bed or when im jsut alone everything that has ever happened to me rushes through my head and it can be so overwhelming. Why does this happen? Is this anxiety?Or is it PTSD? For the majority im happy.. its jsut those certain moments i feel so unhappy. I sometimes cut when it gets too.. i dont know i wish i could desrbe it better. My mom is in a nursing home right now for confusion so thats been adding to it. I feel happy but deep down i feel so.. bothered and unhappy. My life right now for the most part is great.. i have friends and family that love me its just.. one thing after another i guess. I'm thinking of getting counseling but i dont have the money. I'd just like to start off knowing what this is:-/

It takes alot of planing and co-operative effort to run a successful political campaign and win an election. These people are obviously smarter than average.

With that being said, how can they claim that the mess we're in is not their form of planned kaos?

Have we been sold as slaves to a corrupt system that works for "them"only?

"Certainly, Sir, t hat'll be one cent."

"One Cent?" the man thought.

He glanced at the menu and asked, "How much for a nice juicy steak and a bottle of wine?"

"A nickel," the barman replied.

"A nickel?" exclaimed the man. "Where's the guy who owns this place?"

The bartender replied, "Upstairs, with my wife."

The man asked, "What's he doing upstairs with your wife?"

The bartender replied,
