The Knob :

A woman visited her plastic surgeon who told her about a new procedure called "The Knob," where a small knob is placed at the top of the woman's head and could be turned to tighten up her skin and produce the effect of a brand new face-lift. Of course, the woman wanted "The Knob."

Over the course of the years, the woman tightened the knob, and the effects were wonderful, the woman remained young looking and vibrant.

After fifteen years, the woman returned to the surgeon with two problems. "All these years, everything has been working just fine. I've had to turn the knob many times and I've always loved the results. But now I've developed two annoying problems: First, I have these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them."

The doctor looked at her closely and said, "Those aren't bags, those are your breasts."

She said, "Well, I guess there's no point in asking about the goatee."

My husband found out my passionate loveletter to my happily married classmate with who I been in email contact for the last one year and met him in a remote resort once when he came to India to take back him wife and children. Our marriage had many difficulties for the last 6 years and we seperated in June,2006 and were about to get divorce. My husband who illtreated me, hung around me for the kids and he found my unsent letter in Jan,2007. I told him it was only a fantasy and that it happened so quickly(1 week) that i neither intended to prolong it and that I never had any intention of ruining my marriage. My classmate acutally cut me off by not responding well and I followed suit. Now I will leave for US in a couple of months , my hubby says he can't trust me any more though I assured him i am not that cheap. He exhibits all emotions in a single day, is afraid of loosing family honour if this affair is leaked. So are my parents who hate him. How can I convince him that I love him?

we were together for a year and now its over. i cant get her out of my head shes like all i think about. she left me an email today clearing the air she said for me not to doubt she ever loved me its just that she couldnt handle all our problems anymore so she had to leave. when i stop missing her so much?

Met a guy 2 years ago through a friend. He was 28 & I was 23. From the start we grew really close, he messed me around slightly during the process as he knew he liked me, but wasn't sure if he wanted any commitments right now & didn't want to end up hurting me as he could probably cheat on me or something. So he ended up saying that he can't do it right now as he wasn't in that frame of mind. I said to him then that I have an opportunity 2 start seeing someone else now,so I want 2 be 100% sure that you are serious & told him that there was no going back after this, he still said that it would be best to be friends right now. He would still call 4 a few months as he wanted 2 stay friends & I told him that it was best that we go our seperate ways as it is over. 2 years later he 31 me 25 have met again I hav just brought a new house, he is doing even better also, but is talking about wanting something serious with me. Do I get revenge after how he hurt me & messed me around in the past??

Hello

I visited a medical lab yesterday to get my blood draw for some tests....I was surprised by the low quality of the LAB and it was basically a mess..I didnt feel that they followed any type of safety procedures at all ! Anyway, I dont know why, but I let them draw my blood. The doctor didnt even wear any gloves when he was drawing my blood ! The good thing is that the needle was taken out of the plastic wrapping in front of me..I think I am sure coz I was watching carefully....Was I at any risk of contracting any virus from the lab?? I am very scared of HIV

Fed up with problems in life, a man decided to commit suicide and he thought of applying four methods simultaneously .He took a bottle of poison , a loaded pistol and a piece of rope to a tall tree and climbed up the branch under which there was a river.He tied the rope to the branch and the other end to his neck , drank poison, and kept the pistol on his forehead and jumped pressing the trigger. Due to jerk , the bullet hit the rope and it broke it and he fell in the water down and as he was not knowing swimming he drank a lot of water and poison got diluted and could not die .

Does the Union Jack NEED to be modernised to reflect the 21st Century “united” Kingdom, given Scotland, Wales and, all being well, Northern Ireland all have their own National Assemblies to govern their own Countries?

What sort of flag do you think would be a more representative flag for “united” Kingdom today? Describe it?

Wales is properly represented, as is Scotland, Ulster - even England St George Cross is there, as is The Crown - which we all serve under.

Welsh soldiers serve under the crown and are repatriated under the Union Jack, yet WHERE is Wales represented in the National flag?

Yes, I know a lot of people say they are.. What i'm thinking: could it be that sports drink companies made up electrolytes to better sell their drinks?

For exaple, whenever I search for electrolytes on the internet, all I see is they 'replenish' your body etc, without any side effects at all. Is this possible?

And I heard that the main function of sweating is trying to get rid of salts (electrolytes). For some reason it's now explained that your body needs salt?

I don't want an answer explaining how good those 'electrolytes' are too..
The reason why I came across this is because one day, I saw a completely random graph showing a person that doesn't drink gatorade, and the one who does.. the one that drank was had more 'performance'. Reason for that was these electrolytes..

In my work, I earn a few hundred pounds a week on average (1, 2 or 3 hundred depending) and I recieve my money in cash, it doesn't automatically go into a bank. So there is always cash available in the house. However, my partner (who pays the most of the bills, mortgage etc) knows what I earn & where I kep that money & he regularly helps himself to it for things. He isn't using it to buy himself materialistic things or anything, it will be used for things like , food shopping, petrol, car tax, general things & the occasional evening out at the pub.
It's not that I expect him to pay for everything or that I don't want to do by part but often (like today) when I went to my money box, to by some basic groceries, there was nothing in it.
I feel like I earn money then he spends it. I am basically self employed & he says I should work more.
He is finding it hard to get work recently & he has huge debts. I own nothing. If we split up, I leave with nothing but the clothes on my back.

One of my close friends, N has recently been in hospital as she was suicidal, she checked herself out but she wasn't ready for it. I was considering moving in with her to take care of her but we don't think she needs that much intervention yet.
She has dependency issues, self sabotage, negative self-talk and she is not looking after herself in any way (food, money, exercise, taking pills on time etc etc).

Another friend, Nic and I are thinking that N needs to tell us how to support her. But she won't tell us if we just ask. So Nic & I are going to sit down with N and tell her about Nic's sister who has very similar issues to N (we're not making it up, it's coincidental). We're hoping that this way, N will tell us how to best support her and get her back on track.

If you have bipolar or experience with it, do you think this is a good idea? Also, what do you think are key ways we can establish routine in N's life? All your advice is SO much appreciated.

im doing my as level biology coursework and i want to say that 'using a syringe would be more precise than using a measuring cylinder because the syringe has a smaller measuring scale therefore i can measure closer to the amount i need' but dont know how to say it in scientific terms help!
