I'm going to Hawaii soon, and I'd like to read something really fun - witty, insightful, sexy, intersting ....

I've read "The Dirty Girls' Social Club" and I loved that. But dsince I don't usually read "chick lit" I'm hoping for some good recommendations for the beach - "quality" chick lit novels, if there is such a thing.

I'm looking forward to hearing your recommendations.

You must read Jennifer Weiner if you want Chick Lit. She's fantastic.

Also try Sophie Kinsella, Kate McAllister, Jane Heller.

Consider Lily by Dayton
Emily Ever After by Vanderbilt
A Walk to Remember by Sparks
Big Stone Gap by Trigiani
The Day of the Storm by Pilcher
The Locket by Evans

I am not sure if these are considered true chick lit. But they definitely appeal more to females and they aren't trashy.

I dont usually read that either, but I came across Marianne Stillings and I really like the way she weaves mysteries and romance together. She has a trilogy that starts with The Damsel in the Dress - I liked it a lot. Pax - C.
