For military berets:
Regardless of what hairstyle, I think it looks lame. Unless it's part of a military uniform that they have no choice but to wear.
For plain berets:
Regardless of hairstyle, all acceptable. It really depends on the person wearing it and whether he can carry it off.

For me, length of hair and even existance of hair matters not. All men who wear berets, and all women for that matter, are either French and therefore I don't like them, or are try-hard pseudo-intellectuals and I don't like them.

guys with short/bald to medium lenght hair look sexy in berets....
but guys with long hair..and berets...just looks gay!
i mean guys with long hair are usually hippies or rockers..and guys who wear berets are the suave/ smooth /intellectual kinds...so looks kinda wierd..

not to be mean, but you asked so i'll give my honest opinion. i think guys in berets look *****, no matter their hair style. either gay or a painter, unless they're military.

99% are hiding a bald, or nearly bald head, and trust me, the bald head usually looks better, especially indoors when everyone else has taken their hats off.
