One day, there was this lawyer who had just bought a new car, and he was eager to show it off to his colleagues, when all of a sudden an eighteen wheeler came out of nowhere and took of the driver's side door with him standing right there. "NOOO!" he screamed, because he knew that no matter how good a mechanic tried to fix it, it never would be the same. Finally, a cop came by, and the lawyer ran up to him yelling. "MY JAGUAR DOOR WAS JUST RUINED BY SOME FOOLISH DRIVER!!!" he exclaimed. "Your a lawyer aren't you?" asked the policeman. "Yes, I am, but what does this have to do with my car?!?!" the lawyer asked. "HA! Your lawyers are always so materialistic. All you care about is your possessions. I bet you didn't even notice that your left arm is missing did you?" the cop said. The lawyer looked down at his side and exclaimed "MY ROLEX!"

I have a 2001 Chevy Malibu and the breaks are not working as well as they should be. When I attempt to break my car shakes and giggles and doesn't stop right away. Sometimes it takes a lot to stop. When I get off the interstate highway (Route 80) the breaks really suck. Also, I went through a drive through last night while I was breaking I heard them clank and make some weird noises.
Obviously I have to get this checked out, which I am tomorrow. But do I need new break pads or something and does anybody know how much this will cost?

My boyfriend told me yesterday that he is not sure he wants to continue our relationship, he said he is not motivated and enthusiastic anymore and he is not feeling happy with me. He has been very stressed these days with his job, he works full-time,looking for a new job, attending interviews. He doesnt get along with his boss so that adds to his stress. He's been distant with me since he has been told he won't get his promotion. I took his distance personally and was questioning him about our relationship. He tried to explain to me that he needs time alone but I got worried.Yesterday he told me he thinks he should leave and he said he needs time to think and he'll call me this week to talk about this. i havent replied to him as i'm giving him the time he asked for. I am really upset and I am really afraid of loosing him. Why does he need time to think and why does he want to talk to me about it? Is he going to call me it's the end and it's over? We've been together for 3 years.

On the train this morning a woman walked to the centre of the isle and stood with her back to the woman sitting down few rows up from me. The sitting lady was 'squirming' at this but said nothing. It got me thinking, would I be that unaware of people around me or, if I were sitting would I say something to the person standing with their back to me?

i have insurance and my part of the money i need up front for my surgery is 4,000 dollars. i dont have that kind of money up front... is there an organization or anywhere i can get this needed assistance? the hospital denied me having this surgery because i dont have my part of the money up front. how can they deny this?

I bought a game the chronicles of Narnia, I installed the game but was told I could not run it without a graphics card pixel 1.1v shaders. I bought a radeon graphics card have installed it in the correct way as there is only one slot it can go into but my computer is not picking the hardware up when I restart computer and I plug the monitor into it and cannot get anything. The graphics card is an atiradeon9250. Can anyone help?

My ex is the biggest loser in the world! He's been drilling our daughter for information on my personal life. He has no job due to an injury, lives with differant people all the time, and is nothing but a user and expects people to give him money all the time. My daughter loves him endlessly and I know she is too young to realize the kind of person he is. How do I stop him from involving her in his stupidity? ok, so i have a huge maths test tomorrow and ive been given this easy revision sheet to refresh my memory on the basics.. but ive completely forgotten everything [its like midnight]

(3x-1)²=0
x²/3=3
x²-3x=0
x²-6x-7=0
(x+6)(x-3)= -14
x²+6x-7=0

Yeah, that pretty much happened. I baked a lasagna, not realizing there was a silicone potholder on the bottom of the dish. I ate a good amount of it, and when I went to cut a piece for lunch today, found the potholder at the bottom of the dish. I didn't eat from where the potholder was but am concerned some of the silicone may have baked into all of the lasagna. Any ideas? It looks to be in the same shape it was when I baked it--it didn't seem to melt at all (which is pretty amazing).
