i have insurance and my part of the money i need up front for my surgery is 4,000 dollars. i dont have that kind of money up front... is there an organization or anywhere i can get this needed assistance? the hospital denied me having this surgery because i dont have my part of the money up front. how can they deny this?

I know, I'm not happy with my insurance either. Is it your copay or is that your deductible? Someone told me, you get what you pay for! OK, so people that don't have the cash for copays and deductibles, do we just get worse, or develop worsening problems till it comes a severe problem and then they do something cause it's an emergency? The imbalance in health care drives me crazy. The people on welfare get if for free, the rich people can afford it, and the middle class pay for it and don't get it!
To answer your question, can you borrow from a family member? Can you go to credit union? Can you ask for surgeon's office if they have ideas?
