WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?

ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?
WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people.

ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS: Oral.

ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy on him!

ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Huh?

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

My boyfriend was involved in an minor accident last year, infortunately at the time he was not insured i know (idiot but he didn't intend to drive it till it was but a friend was in trouble). anyway the police gave him a fine of £200 for not having insurance he has since paid this but has now receive a court summons for not having all the documents required at the scene, we don't understand why he has been summoned the only documents he didn't have were insurance and he has already been fined for that so does anyone know why he's should be summoned for something he thought was over with??

I am doing my PhD work in biochemistry in Calcutta and I found that most of my batchmate gave GRE and fled for better opportunity. Its true that their infrastructure is far better than us but there are places in India where quality research has been taking place. My friends from other field have opted for either MBA or IT industry as they are tagged as MNC. I think the reason behind this dynamic brain flow towards outside should be an alarm for our country.
I do believe in globalisation but it should be either way not partial like ours.
As this question may be proposed by many others I know but my perspective is slightly different in this regard. I think our Government should provide jobs to those peoples only who wants to serve for our country and dedicated enough,not just hankering to get some big amount after the end of the month.
Money is important no doubt but relationships do matter, committment has to be valued.
I dont want to be biased but eager to know the view.

"What is 'Susurraphilia'?" you may ask...well, a couple of years ago I came to realise that I took increasing delight in hearing the sound of whispering in all its forms, be it my girlfriend whispering in my ear through to DVDs with actors doing soft-spoken voiceovers etc.

I had a search through the internet to see if this phenomenon was documented, but when I found it was not, I decided to coin the term 'Susurraphilia' (literally 'the attraction or affinity to whispering') to describe it.

I don't call it as an illness or disease as such, because it brings me nothing but happiness to experience it and has no downside to it. It is also not an obsessive compulsion, however, as it does not dictate my natural behaviour, but is rather just a wonderful condition to have. Susurraphilia does not have any particular sexual undercurrents to it, although it can do in, for example, situations where a sexual partner is whispering to turn you on.

Are there other susurraphiles out there? :)

I hate dumb lawsuits, and I am disappointed with people that do this to make their fast cash. If I spilt coffee on myself I sure would not sue the resteraunt I was in , even if I got scalded and scarred for life. Coffee is supposed to be hot remember? if someone else hurt me through neglect and carelessness then I would pause and see the kind of damage that has been done and if action needs to be taken.
