During the Second World War a British pilot who had been shot down and badly injured was sent to a prison hospital in Germany to recover.
One day his doctor comes round and says, (in a German Accent) I'm very sorry but your left leg has gangreen and has to be amputated.
The Britsih pilot, who takes this in his stride says, no problem, but please can you do me a favour, next time you bomb England can you drop my leg with the bombs.
The doctor agrees saying he can see no problem with this.
Couple of weeks later, the doctor returns and tells him more bad news, your right leg now has gangreen, we have to amputate.
Pilot says, no problem, but next time you bomb England can you drop my leg with the bombs.
His request is carried out.
A few weeks later, more bad news, his doctor tells him his left arm needs to be amputated, the pilot makes the same request.
This time his doctor quite sternly refuses.
No, this request cannot be carried out,
