Use a piece of software called iDump. Its free to download from - www.downloads.com
Just install it and then copy the idump.exe file to the route directory of your iPod. That way you can use it on your computer and also directly from your iPod on someone Else's computer. It supports file swapping in both directions. I used it a couple of weeks ago when I lost all of my music from iTunes. It allowed me to download and reinstall everything just how it had been before with no problems.

Connect your iPod first. Then, go to My Computer and double click the iPod icon.
Go to Tools > Folder Options > 2nd page (view) and choose to have all file types shown.
Go back to My Computer, then click on the iPod icon again and into your music folder and send any song you want to your My Documents.
Hope that helped!

You can't really. they don't want you to be able to. You can download a software that allows you to but you have to pay for it or it will only let you do a few songs at a time.

You can't. Tried it and failed. And what a pain it is. Also the problem with the iPod is that it is in effect spyware on your pc.
