Car is in good condition,good fuel pressure, computer gives "high idle' error. New battery.. 3.4v6. Car will start, but when you shut it off it won't restart. It has died while driving and had to be towed back, where it promptly restarted!

sounds like a vacume leak or idle valve may be bad it should restart if you give it a little more thain 1/2 throttle it could also be a bad temp sensor

High idle would be a vacuum leak and it could be close to the fuel pressure regulator.Check on the back side of engine for a vacuum leak at control solinoid.Repair all cracked vacuum lines.
